Free Day at CELL

Where? 99 West 12th Avenue 
When? May 15th

Take advantage of a free day at the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL) this Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Explore the new, state-of-the-art exhibit, which is interactive and covers the most pressing issues impacting national security and how the public can play a role in enhancing public safety. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore different ideologies held by extremist movements, as well as become educated on why certain acts of violence are classified as terrorism and why motive matters. The exhibit explores the ongoing debates of when does hate speech cross the line and what are our rights to privacy in a digital age, as well as other pressing matters. 

PRO Tip: If you visit CELL and want to continue learning and doing more, the Community Awareness Program (CAP) is an interactive training program designed to provide citizens with the basic tools they need to recognize and help prevent terrorism and criminal activity. Learn more here

Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Where? 2001 Blake Street
When? May 15th-17th

The Rockies are facing off against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field starting this Friday and running through Sunday. Friday’s game is scheduled for 6:40 PM and will be a City Connect Friday. The team will wear their Nike MLB City Connect uniforms at Coors Field at every Friday home game. Saturday’s game will begin at 1:10 PM and is Military Appreciation Day, with $9 discounted Lower Level tickets available for all military veterans, active-duty military and family members of a recognized military branch. Pre-game festivities include a Pregame Parade around the Warning Track and a National Anthem performance salute from multiple branches. The first 15,000 fans in the gates will get a Hunter Goodman t-shirt, presented by KOA. Sunday wraps up the weekend at 1:10 PM with a University of Denver Ticket Package for DU fans, staff, students and alumni! Those who purchase tickets through the package will receive a limited-edition Pioneers-themed Rockies hat.

Nostalgia Night

Where? 1800 Wazee Street
When? May 16th

Nostalgia Night at Denver’s Milk Market will be held from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday. Who can resist a little bit of ‘90s nostalgia, after all? Dive into a throwback filled with jean jackets, pizza rolls, adult Capri Suns and all those blast-from-the-past moments that you won’t want to forget. The event is free to attend, so wear your most iconic ‘90s fit and check out Moo Bar specials and swing by Fuso Pasta & pizza for $5 homemade pizza rolls. 

PRO Tip: Look to the big screen for our favorite sitcoms from the ‘90s while you sip on an adult libation and jam out to throwback songs.

Cask Thief

Where? 200 South Kalamath Street 
When? May 16th

Get a taste of Stranahan’s rarest barrels at Cask Thief! Since 2016, Cask Thief has been a beloved annual tradition. Each May, Stranahan’s offers whiskey lovers an exclusive chance to taste and take home rare, one-of-a-kind barrels straight from the source. Fans from around the country gather each year for this highly anticipated event. There will be two sessions this Saturday, an afternoon session from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM and an evening session from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Guests will have the unique opportunity to taste directly from the barrels, which have been hand-selected just for this experience by Head Blender Justin Aden. 

PRO Tip: This unique event offers general admission and VIP ticket options, both including access to limited-release barrels, a meal and the exclusive opportunity to purchase a bottled version of each whiskey. 

Denver Summit FC vs. Orlando Pride

Where? 6000 Victory Way
When? May 16th

Denver Summit FC is facing off against Orlando Pride this Saturday at 6:45 PM at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park! Saturday will be Pride Night and general admission tickets are on sale for $63. The game will feature local LGBTQIA+ groups, including the Denver Gay & Lesbian Flag Football League and the ACLU of Colorado. Exclusive ticket packs and discounted tiers are also being offered in collaboration with community partners, with a portion of the proceeds directly benefitting advocacy work in the region.

PRO Tip: On game day, expect exclusive swag giveaways and pre-match festivities to celebrate the community in Colorado. 

Denver Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale

Where? 888 East Iliff Avenue 
When? May 16th & 17th

The 2026 Denver Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale will be held in Harvard Gulch Park this Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until sell out. Shop from heirloom and modern tomatoes, New Mexico chiles, flowers, herbs, veggies, native plants and more. The sale will be held rain or shine and cash, credit card and checks will be accepted. This is a popular annual fundraising event that’s open to the community. If you’ve been wanting to revamp your garden this spring, then this is your chance! 

PRO Tip: Arrive early on Saturday for the best selection. Plants will be sold on a first come, first served basis! 

Denver Colfax Marathon

Where? 2001 Colorado Boulevard 
When? May 16th & 17th

Join in on the fun at the 20th year of the Denver Colfax Marathon! Celebrate the largest marathon weekend in the Rocky Mountain region. Whether you’re running or supporting, there’s space for all. There will be eight races across two days, with the 5K Kickoff on Saturday and the main race day on Sunday. This is Denver’s only marathon, which is also a Boston Qualifier. Finish your 26.2 miles with a huge post-race party complete with live music, food and drinks. Get all the race day logistics here.

PRO Tip: The half marathon and the Urban 10 Miler have already sold out. Other race distances are filling fast so register ASAP! 

Denver BAZAAR — Littleton Spring ’26

Shop 80+ local makers this weekend at the Littleton Spring ’26 BAZAAR Market. Bring Fido along for the fun and sip on a drink while you explore the streets of Littleton for the second year. Expect street food, an outdoor bar and a morning session with YogaSix flow. Whether you’re shopping for Father’s Day or searching for handcrafted gifts that you won’t find anywhere else, this is a can’t-miss weekend extravaganza. The market is open on both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

PRO Tip: General admission is free but you can upgrade your experience for $15 to include a yoga class (10:00 AM) or grab a $20 ticket for bottomless mimosas from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Combine the two for $30 and do it all!

Arvada Center Spring Pottery Sale

Where? 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard 
When? Through May 17th

The Arvada Center Ceramic Studio would like to invite you to shop the annual Spring Pottery Sale. This sale will feature one-of-a-kind functional pottery, sculpture, jewelry and decor. There will be hundreds of pieces available for sale, as well as prices to fit any budget. All work has been created by the Center’s nationally recognized faculty of ceramic artists and advanced students. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the participating artists and the Ceramics Studio at the Center. Sale hours will run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily and 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sundays. REI Co-op Campfire Sessions Live Music Series

The REI flagship store in Denver is excited to host a Campfire Listening Sessions event series this May. This event series is just for REI Co-op members, so join today and get first dibs on an array of exciting programs and discounts on gear for your summertime adventures. The program series features live music, inspiring speakers, exclusive giveaways and more. This Sunday, enjoy listening to The Mañanas at 7:00 PM. This Denver-based ‘60s rock revivalist group has been turning heads and bringing a compelling multicultural perspective to the local scene.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Kiddos will have a blast in Denver this weekend, with the Northglenn Food Truck Carnival bringing awesome games, rides and eats to town and a Plane Spotting program at the Centennial Airport! 

Northglenn Food Truck Carnival

Where? 11701 Community Center Drive

The Food Truck Carnival is coming to the E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park this weekend. Kicking off from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday and continuing from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Saturday and wrapping up from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, this is the perfect way to enjoy the weekend with the family. There will be 20+ food trucks daily, as well as a variety of amusement rides and music to keep everyone entertained. The event is free to attend and carnival passes can be purchased for $35 (with printed coupon) or you can pay per ride. Food can be purchased directly from food trucks. There will be approximately 15-20 rides

Sun Valley Viaduct Night Market

You won’t want to miss Sun Valley’s upcoming Viaduct Night Market this Saturday! Located just south of Empower Field, this is a hidden gem in Denver. Enjoy one of the city’s most diverse neighborhoods and the melting pot of local chefs and entrepreneurs from across the world. Admission to the Night Market is free from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and entertainment throughout the evening will feature a diverse array of performers, including city speakers from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM. Food and beverage options will be numerous, from street food bites, ice cream, mobile ramen and even a beer garden presented by Coors! Shop local artisans and makers and interact with pop ups such as a roller rink, the Denver Public Library Bookmobile, face painting and more.

Little Wings: Plane Spotting

Where? 13005 Wings Way 
When? May 16th

Head on over to the Exploration of Flight (Centennial Airport) this Saturday from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM to watch as your little one’s curiosity soars as they explore the amazing world of aviation. Participants will learn about the many different parts of an airplane, as well as how airports operate and the fundamentals of tarmac safety. From there, it’ll be off to spot real planes in action. Attendees can watch them take off, land and fly through the skies at Centennial Airport. This program has been designed for children ages 3 to 6 years old and their guardians. Adults must accompany children at all times. 

PRO Tip: Don’t forget that Wings’ members can enjoy 50% off their tickets! Doors to Saturday’s event will open at 10:00 AM.
