This weekend marks the final Downtown Littleton Wine Walk of the season, so make sure you don’t miss out. The event is hosted by the Littleton Merchants Association and invites participants to take a stroll amongst participating businesses while also enjoying curated wine tastings along the way. Tickets include wine tastings at participating locations, as well as an event glass, a map and tasting tabs to sip your way through the stroll. Check in begins at Denver Beer Co. (2409 West Main Street), where attendees can pick up their accessories before setting out on their self guided walk.

Alley Brews Oktoberfest Weekend

Make your way to Alley Brews on Tennyson Street this weekend for a neighborhood take on the Oktoberfest festivities. The celebration will be held on Friday and Saturday, with a selection of German-inspired food and beer, as well as plenty of coffee, craft cocktails and non-alcoholic options available to keep everyone happy with a drink in hand. Saturday will feature some of the weekend’s most exciting activities, including official U.S. Steinholding Association Colorado Qualifiers at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Competitors will face off across men’s and women’s divisions for a chance to qualify for the state championship. Panda Fest is making its Denver debut this weekend, with three days of Asian food, culture and entertainment in Civic Center Park. The festival is set to include 200+ street dishes from 60+ local and national food vendors, as well as an array of traditional and contemporary performances and hands-on activities for attendees of all ages to enjoy. Families will love the panda-themed bounce house and the panda face painting, so be sure to bring the kiddos out for a can’t-miss experience. Festival hours range from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday.

Cats on Mats

Denver Century Ride

This fully supported urban cycling event offers multiple route options, including 25, 50, 85 and 100-mile courses. There will also be an 11.7-mile Bike Street Ice Cream Ride if that’s more up your alley! The event is designed for riders of all ages and abilities, giving participants the opportunity to experience various Denver neighborhoods, parks, bike lanes, and trails from a different perspective. After completing your route, stick around for the post-ride street party and expo. There will be food, beverages and activities! Keep the good vibes going and enjoy the welcoming cyclist community in the Mile High City.

Access Fund 35th Birthday Community Festival

Celebrate 35 years of climbing advocacy and conservation at the Access Fund’s Birthday Community Festival this Saturday. The afternoon kicks off at Movement RiNo with a free community festival that’s set to feature climbing, coaching, games, challenges, gear demos and much more. Non-members are invited to purchase a discounted day pass, which will include free gear rental. The event is open to all ages, giving everyone the chance to meet fellow climbers and celebrate the organization’s history. A separate ticket is required for the Chris Sharma x Paradigm Climbing Clinic for those interested in attending. At 6:30 PM, the celebration will make its way over to Improper City for an after-party. Expect food, drinks, live music, giveaways and an Access Fund history exhibit.

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Rams

Halloween is arriving early at Denver’s Elitch Gardens. Fright Fest is returning this weekend and running through the first of November. This seasonal event offers two distinct experiences, ensuring everyone who wants to participate can do so. There will be family-friendly fun during the day, as well as a more intense Halloween experience after dark. During the daytime, families can expect harvest-themed activities, trick-or-treating in KiddieLand, spooky crafts, games and live entertainment. After 6:00 PM, the atmosphere shifts and Fright by Night takes over with three haunted houses, four scare zones, and rides after dark. This experience is recommended for guests ages 12 and up.
PRO Tip: During opening weekend, the park is scheduled to open from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturday and from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday. Admission is required.

Joy Park Free Night

This weekend’s Joy Park Free Night will be the final event of its kind for the summer season, so make Friday plans to be there or be square! Joy Park and Adventure Forest will be open to the public for free, giving kiddos plenty of opportunities to climb, dig, zip-line, splash and explore the museum’s massive outdoor space. Reservations are not required, so simply show up and enjoy the evening.
PRO Tip: Activities may get wet or messy, so the museum recommends towels, a change of clothes, extra socks and sunscreen.
Stego Stampede

Dinosaur-loving kiddos will want to double knot their laces and hit the ground running at the first-ever Stego Stampede this Sunday. The 2.2-mile family-friendly run, walk and stroll will follow a route through Dinosaur Ridge, giving participants the opportunity to experience the area’s famous dinosaur tracks and fossil discoveries as they make their way to the finish line. Registration is $25 for children ages 12 and under, $10 for toddlers and free for babies and well-behaved pups on a leash. The fun doesn’t stop there, either. There will be a Paleo ArtFest from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the visitor center parking lot, featuring local artists, food trucks, live music, family-friendly activities and photo opportunities. The day also coincides with an SCFD Free Day, meaning families are welcome to enjoy free admission to the Dinosaur Ridge exhibit hall.
PRO Tip: Children are also invited to participate in the TriceraTOTs Trot! Costumes are encouraged for runners of all ages.
Kids Create — Tissue Paper Leaf Art

Denver’s Sam Gary Branch Library invites young artists to spend part of their Sunday getting creative at this Kids Create program. Sunday’s project will involve plenty of tissue paper! Participants will create leaf art, which is the perfect seasonal art addition to welcome the changing leaves this autumn season. The program will run from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM in the library’s community room.
