Where to See 4th of July Fireworks Near Denver 

Fireworks are one of summer’s greatest traditions. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to celebrate the 4th of July and watch a phenomenal firework display — you’re in luck! Multiple shows are happening in and around Denver this July. Make this Independence Day a memorable one and celebrate with good food, good friends, and a fun community event.

Arvada Fireworks 

Where? 11200 West 58th Street 
When? 7 PM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

This Independence Day, celebrate with the city of Arvada during their annual firework display. This event has been celebrated since 1979 and it’s sure to be spectacular. The large open space at the Stenger Sports Complex provides ample room for families to find a prime viewing spot for the show, as well as enjoy their food truck finds. Entrance into the park begins at 7 PM, with the fireworks set to go off at 9 PM. No personal fireworks are allowed and this rule will be enforced by the Arvada Police Department.  

PRO Tip: Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If possible, it’s recommended to carpool with friends and family.

Independence Eve at Civic Center Park 

Where? 101 West 14th Avenue 
When? 5 PM – 10 PM / July 3, 2023 

Ring in the Fourth of July a day early in Denver’s Civic Center Park on July 3rd, 2023. Music will feature local artists, such as The Reminders and the Mañanas, as well as a performance by the Colorado Symphony. Fireworks are set to start between 9:15 PM – 9:30 PM from the roof of the county building. Attendees will have their pick of food trucks and beverage options. There will be vegan and vegetarian options available. 

PRO Tip: For those looking to leave the car at home and avoid the hassle of parking, Civic Center is accessible by several public transport options including the free light rail. Buses, bicycles, and the 16th Street MallRide are also available. 

Aurora Fireworks 

Where? 15151 East Alameda Parkway 
When? 6 PM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

The city of Aurora invites residents and visitors to come hang out on the Municipal Center’s Great Lawn this Fourth of July. There will be live music, food vendors, and the 30-minute firework display beginning at 9:30. Live entertainment acts include Conjunto Colores, who will play from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM, followed by Game Wizards and Syndicate. Kona Ice, Pikine Grill, DC Concessions, and more will be available for a quick snack, meal, or sweet treat. Bags are subject to inspection and no animals are allowed, aside from service pets.  

PRO Tip: There will be free onsite parking and drivers will see signage that will guide them to the appropriate parking spaces. For those who don’t want to drive, the Aurora R-Line is nearby and the metro station is a short walk from the event. 

Brighton Fireworks 

Where? 650 East Southern Street
When? 5 PM – TBD / July 4, 2023 

The city of Brighton hosts one of the region’s largest fireworks displays on the Fourth of July. Guests will enjoy live entertainment from DJ Tidal Wave, followed by the event’s headliner, Those Crazy Nights. There will be food trucks available and the organizers recommend bringing something to sit on (blankets, lawn chairs, etc.), plenty of sunscreen and bug repellant, and drinking water. Sponsors include the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and the Brighton Fire Rescue District. 

PRO Tip: When parking, the city asks attendees to please be courteous of residential areas and any road restrictions that are in place. 

Broomfield Great American Picnic 

Where? 3200 Sheridan Boulevard 
When? 5 PM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

Broomfield hosts a festive Fourth of July celebration every year in the County Commons Park with tons of family-friendly entertainment. There will be live music, $15 unlimited play inflatables for the kiddos, face painting stations, and of course, the infamous bike parade. Attendees are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, tricycles, wagons, and scooters and join in on the fun. For those 21 and up, there will be two beer gardens and a wide variety of food vendors, including Taste of Texas, The Snow Churro, Fajita Junction, and Ruby Ru’s. Music begins at 6 PM with the 17th Avenue Allstars and fireworks are set off at 9:15 PM. 

PRO Tip: There will be a shuttle service to and from the Broomfield County Commons. The service runs from 5 PM until 11 PM.

Castle Rockin’ the Fourth 

Where? 1375 West Plum Creek Parkway 
When? 9 AM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

Castle Rock’s annual firework display is launched from the Santa Fe Quarry Mesa. The Castle Rockin’ the Fourth Celebration is hosted at Philip S. Miller Park and begins in the morning with a free, untimed Independence Day 5K. The race is followed by a foam party, as well as magic shows, patriotic movies, live music, and kid-friendly activities. This makes for an all-day affair or families can opt to show up later for food and fireworks. At 8 PM, the Super Diamond band takes the stage to sing Neil Diamond covers. Fireworks begin at 9:30 and can be viewed from the park and many of the nearby residential areas. 

PRO Tip: If you can’t make it to the park but still want to watch the drone show, there will also be firework viewing at Santa Fe Quarry Butte, which is located in the Red Hawk area. 

4thFEST 

Where? 6000 Victory Way
When? 4 PM (Game @ 7 PM) / July 4, 2023 

Situated in Commerce City, the 25th annual 4thFEST is sure to be one for the books. The event hosts the largest public firework show in the state of Colorado — so it’s a can’t-miss for the kiddos who love a massive display. The festival is free and includes live music, food trucks, and various activities. There will be bounce houses, soccer darts, a rock climbing wall, a ropes course, an alpine tubing slide, and even a mechanical bull.  

PRO Tip: The best way to experience the excitement is to snag tickets for the game. The Colorado Rapids will take on the Portland Timbers at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, with fireworks being shot off after the match.

Firestone Fireworks 

Where? 150 Grant Avenue 
When? 11 AM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

The Firestone fireworks is a full-day event, so many families opt to make the short drive to the town of Firestone and enjoy a traditional Independence Day parade and loads of family-friendly fun activities at Miners Park. There will be live entertainment and music, as well as local food trucks and a beer garden. This is the 21st year for the event and it’s Firestone’s largest one-day festival. Food includes Waffle Cakes, Cilantro & Lime, Nacho Mama’s Tacos, and It’s All Greek To Me. Fireworks begin at 9:30 PM and are shot off just north of the 15th hole at the Saddleback Golf Course. 

PRO Tip: Daytime acts include the Frederick High School Golden Eagles marching band, Integrity Martial Arts, and The Jenn Cleary Trio. Later, Jax Jordening, the John McKay Band, and Wood Belly will take the stage for their live performances. 

Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks 

Where? 2001 Blake Street
When? Various Dates & Times 

While not scheduled for the 4th of July, the post-game fireworks after a Colorado Rockies game are a must-see for baseball fans. On June 30th and July 1st, the Rockies take on the Detroit Tigers at Coors Field. Both games will have firework displays, as well as a third game on Friday, September 29th against the Minnesota Twins. 

PRO Tip: You don’t have to be a baseball fan to enjoy a Rockies game. If you’re new to Denver, it’s a fun experience and a great way to get a feel for the city and its passionate fans. 

Folsom Field’s 4th of July Spectacular 

Where? 2400 Colorado Avenue 
When? 7 PM – TBD / July 4, 2023 

This year, Boulder is trying something different. Instead of a traditional fireworks display, they’re opting for a night sky drone show that’s sure to excite. Admission is free and live music includes acts from School of Rock, The Custom Shop Band, and Funkiphino. There will be free public parking available around the campus but it’s recommended that attendees arrive early or bike if they live in a nearby neighborhood. The drone show is scheduled to begin around 9:35 PM. 

PRO Tip: There is a clear bag policy in effect and no pets are allowed other than certified service animals. No outside food and drinks. Stadium guidelines remain in effect during this event. 

Loveland’s North Lake Park Fireworks

Where? North Lake Park Road 
When? 4 PM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

The city of Loveland will be hosting its annual July 4th celebration at North Lake Park with food, fireworks, and live music by the Loveland Concert Band. The performance will be held in the Hammond Amphitheater and will be followed by a firework display over Lake Loveland. Activities include a Kids Zone Play Area that’s open until 9 PM and a corn hole tournament that begins at 4 PM. Preregistration is required and each team pays a $40 fee. 

PRO Tip: The city of Loveland will close off traffic on 29th Street from Taft to Custer Avenues and there will be a $5 parking fee in the Loveland High School lot. 

4th of July Festival in Golden 

Where? 1300 10th Street 
When? 11:30 AM – 10 PM / July 4, 2023 

The Golden Lions Club is excited to host this year’s 4th of July community festival in Lions Park. Activities are available for all ages, including live music, specialty food trucks, and cold Coors beer. Music begins at 11:30 AM and fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:30 PM. This all-day event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather with friends and family, all while supporting the local community.  

PRO Tip: Arriving early is highly recommended, especially for those bringing lawn chairs and picnic items. There is free parking available in the Clear Creek Parking Lot and various garages are available between 11th and 13th Streets.

Westminster Fireworks 

Where? 10455 Sheridan Boulevard 
When? 4 PM – 10:30 PM / July 4, 2023 

This Fourth of July event is being held in Westminster City Park and is dedicated to celebrating the nation’s independence. Live music begins at 7 PM and a free shuttle bus is available from various spots around town for visitors to catch a ride to the show. Weather permitting, fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15 PM and kids and adults alike will be in awe at the colorful display.  

PRO Tip: Shuttle locations include the Front Range Community College and The MAC. For those looking to park their vehicle, there will be parking attendants or traffic officers to help guide them to an appropriate spot.  

Red, White & You 

Where? 7306 West Bowles Avenue 
When? 5 PM – 10 PM / July 3, 2023 

This annual Littleton celebration is held in Clement Park, traditionally on July 3rd. Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to ensure a comfortable seating arrangement. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event and there will be a Kids Zone Area that has bounce houses and entertainment. Beer and wine gardens will also be on-site. The firework display is set to begin at 9:30 PM, with an encore by That Eighties Band following at 9:45 PM.  

PRO Tip: No pets are allowed, as the loud noises often startle or stress them. Clement Park is also a No Drone Zone, so leave your remote-controlled devices at home.
