Denver has a bit of everything going on this weekend, from Halloween extravaganzas to concerts, and even a bridal and wedding expo!

Andrew Schulz: The Life Tour

Where? 1621 Glenarm Place
When? October 16th & 17th

Andrew Schulz is coming to the Paramount Theatre in Denver! Schulz began doing standup in college before moving back to New York. He was a regular in the Comedy Village before making a debut at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in 2008. Since then, he has achieved considerable success by self-releasing his work and securing acting roles and positions as a television producer and podcaster. His recent Netflix special, Schulz Saves America, gained him new fans who are excited to catch him on his upcoming tour!

PRO Tip: The comedy show is an 18 and over show and there is an 8 ticket limit for the event. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the show kicks off at 7:00 PM.

October Movie Nights at Marjorie Park

This Friday and Saturday, catch an outdoor flick in Greenwood Village. To celebrate all things Halloween this October, there will be spooky season-themed movies in the lineup. Families and visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs or to reserve one of the fireside tables onsite. There will be concessions available for purchase, as well as yard games to play before the movie begins. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the movie begins after dusk at around 6:30 PM. Friday’s movie will be The Rocky Horror Picture Show and on Saturday, you can catch The Witches.

PRO Tip: General admission to movie nights is free with registration. Members additionally receive a free concession item.

Denver Zombie Crawl

Where? 1530 16th Street
When? October 19th

This spooky festival celebrates all things zombie culture, complete with a live DJ spinning your favorite Halloween tunes and a bar serving up seasonal cocktails. There will be a costume contest, so make sure to dress up to win! The festival will be held in Larimer Square from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There will be an array of craft vendors, makeup artists, food vendors, and more on-site to help transform guests into members of the undead and ensure that everyone has a sweet treat or a savory snack in hand. Winners of the costume contest receive a 1st place trophy, platinum VIP entry into the Denver Thirteenth Floor Experience, Zombie Crawl drink tickets, and skip-the-line tickets to Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns.

PRO Tip: Visitors should keep in mind that any fake or replica prop weapon of any type is prohibited at the Denver Zombie Crawl.

Jamtoberfest! Oskar Blues Brewery 22nd Caniversary Party

Oskar Blues Brewery will be celebrating 22 years of canning beers and invites you to come on out and help them throw back some cold ones! On Saturday, the taproom in Longmont will be hosting the JAMtOBerfest celebration. There will be food trucks, new beer releases, and live music from Kendall Street Company, Simple Syrup, and Crick Wooder. This year, the brewery is merging its anniversary party with its annual Fest Bier release, making this one for the books! A few other crowd-favorite beers will be making surprise return appearances, as well.

PRO Tip: The celebration will kick off at 1:00 PM and admission is free. There’s no excuse not to come out and jam with the brewery and local community members!

Iron Maiden: The Future Past World Tour

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle
When? October 19th

Iron Maiden is ready to rock Denver this Saturday at the Ball Arena. The band is considered the most successful heavy metal band in history, with a sound that’s been emulated by many other bands over the decades. Whether you know the band’s full discography or you only know a handful of their greatest hits like 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Trooper, Aces High, and Phantom of the Opera โ€” you’re sure to have a blast. Their world tour has made stops across the globe in cities such as Prague, Krakow, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, and London! Special guests on tour include The Hu, a Mongolian folk metal band.

PRO Tip: Verified resale tickets are available for general admission on the floor or there’s still time to grab designated seats on the 100 level and 300 level of the arena!

Halloween Extravaganza

The Aspen Grove Halloween Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This spooktacular celebration will additionally include a Mystikal Makers’ Market from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the BAROX at Aspen Grove. The extravaganza has something for the whole family, from a candy crawl where little goblins and ghouls can gather something sweet from shops at Aspen Grove (while supplies last) and an array of activities including bounce houses, festive games, main stage music and face painters. Hop aboard one of the whimsical hayrides or dance to the tunes being spun by the DJ, including your favorite Halloween classics. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science Curiosity Cruiser will also be onsite!

PRO Tip: The vibrant Mystikal Makers’ Market will feature over 100 local vendors, each showcasing a selection of unique crafts, handmade goods, and more. There will also be plenty of food and drink options to keep your energy high!

Denver Bridal & Wedding Expo

This one-of-a-kind event is a must for all soon-to-be brides in and around the Mile High City. The expo has been referred to as a “pre-wedding shower” or the “party before the party.” Now that you’re engaged, the fun can really begin with shopping, planning, and getting ready to celebrate your big day with all of your closest friends and loved ones! At the expo, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with a wide array of wedding professionals including bakeries, bands and musicians, caterers, ceremony officiants, disc jockeys, florists, makeup artists, videographers and so many more!

Swap & Sip: A Halloween Costume Exchange

Join Spirit Hound Distillers for a spooktacular adult Halloween costume swap this Sunday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM! Bring in your gently used costumes and trade them for something different. This is a great way to experiment with a new costume look without spending a single penny. Not only is this an eco-friendly way to participate in holiday festivities, but it’s also a fun way to meet new faces and exchange unique ideas for the upcoming event season. There will be an array of tasty spirits available while you browse, as well as some spooky snacks. The drink special this Sunday will be the Harvest Spooky Jam Jar, priced at $8!

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

If your little ones are getting excited for Halloween, kick off the celebrations a little bit early with an awesome trunk or-treating event or a family fall festival where you can pick pumpkins, explore corn mazes, and play an array of carnival games.

Family Fall Fest

Where? 9077 West Alameda Avenue
When? October 19th

This Family Fall Fest event is one you won’t want to miss! Hosted in the Mile Hi Church parking lot in Lakewood, families can swing by between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for exciting trunk-or-treat activities. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Feel free to invite friends and family to join in on this community holiday event. In addition to trunk or treating, there will also be kids’ carnival games onsite, as well as a candy harvest, popcorn, and more!

PRO Tip: If you have the ability and time to volunteer, there are multiple ways to get involved. You can decorate your car and/or trunk and hand out candy or trinkets to participants. Organizers ask that you have enough items to hand out to 200 kiddos. You can also help to manage a game during the festival or purchase items on the Amazon Wish List which can be located here.

Gluten-Free Family Fun Festival

Where? 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard
When? October 19th

The 6th Annual Gluten Free Family Fun Festival will be held at the Arvada Center this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event is designed for the whole family. There will be an array of gluten-free treats, vendors, and plenty of tasty bites from food trucks. The kiddos will love the variety of fun games and your furry companions are welcome to tag along as well! There will be punch cards available for games, which can be purchased at the Denver Celiacs’ booth for $5 and include 10 games.

PRO Tip: Entry to the festival is free, so make plans to visit this weekend and indulge in gluten-free goodies and good times for all!

Fall Into Fun

Where? 15151 East Alameda Parkway
When? October 19th

Fall Into Fun is being presented by the city of Aurora on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Aurora Municipal Center. The event will include live entertainment, food trucks, vendors, a large kids’s area, and of course, a variety of fall-themed activities and games for all. For everyone’s safety, bags will be subject to inspection at the event. No animals are permitted with the exception of service animals and no glass bottles are allowed onsite.

PRO Tip: There will be free onsite parking on the premises, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Event parking will be available on the east side parking lot in front of the building, on the west side lot in front of the courthouse, and in the lower south parking lot in front of the Great Lawn.

Treat Street

Where? 25690 East Quincy Avenue
When? October 19th & 20th

Head over to the Arapahoe County “Scaregrounds” in Aurora this weekend for a safe and family-friendly day of trick or treating. Both Saturday and Sunday hours run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The 2024 Treat Street event will feature interactive inflatables, face painting, carriage rides, pumpkin painting, and more! There will be the popular petting farm by Two by Two Petting Zoo, as well as onstage entertainment and competitions with prizes for the winners. Swing by the pumpkin patch to pick out the gourd of your dreams or visit the haunted maze if you dare. Don’t miss the Howl-O-Week dog races each day at 2:00 PM. Day of event tickets are priced at $12 and children 2 and under are free.

PRO Tip: Adults can swing by the beer garden for a refreshing beverage. There will also be lunch options from local food trucks, as well as trick-or-treating booths from 40+ local businesses and partners.

Fall Fest at the Farm

Where? 8500 West Deer Creek Canyon Road
When? October 20th

Fall Fest at the Farm will be held at Chatfield Farms in nearby Littleton this Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families will be greeted by delicious coffee, a corn maze, and of course pumpkins galore! After all, what is the fall season without an abundance of gourds? DIRT Coffee Bar is excited to collaborate with Harberts & Sons Homes for this awesome family-friendly festival. Drop by with the kiddos to play some seasonally-themed games or simply grab a tasty beverage from the coffee truck. There is no cost of admission for this event. 

PRO Tip: The Chatfield Farms corn maze is a popular fall time activity for area families. With approximately 7 acres of corn to explore, you’ll have a blast finding your way through the winding pathways.
