13th Annual Wine Fest

The 13th Annual Wine Fest will be held at Denver’s Downtown Aquarium this Saturday, showcasing wineries from France’s diverse regions. Event hours are scheduled from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Admission is priced at $80 when you purchase tickets in advance or $90 on-site on Saturday. The event will be held outdoors in the garden area, complete with music, delicious bites, a grape stomp, and animal interactions! Featured wineries at this year’s fest include Albert Bichot, Hugel, Cap Royal, Lucien Albrecht, and more. Spirits will be served by Grey Goose Vodka (Honey Deuce) and Grand Mariner Orange Liquor (Mile High Sangria). Attendees must be 21 years of age.

Holy COW Trail Stampede 5K

Gear up for a hee-haw time as you run through Westminster this Saturday at the Holy COW Trail Stampede 5K. All-in pricing for the 5K is $44.85, which includes all applicable fees. The Trail Stampede will kick off at 8:00 AM, and all participants will receive a short-sleeved performance blend tech t-shirt. If you want to opt out of the shirt, you can select the “no shirt” option when you register to receive a $5 discount. The Holy COW Trail Stampede is a BolderBoulder Qualifier.

PRO Tip: The charity partner for this year’s race is Growing Home, which is a nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to break the cycle of poverty by strengthening families, nurturing children, and connecting community members.

Punk & Pints at Ratio Beerworks is where craft beer meets perfectly paired punk tunes. This tasting concert is combining some of Ratio’s best brews with music by Addie Tonic, which is an alterna-rock band from the Mile High City. Attendees will be guided through a tasting flight of beers, led by head brewer Evan Beggs. Each beer will be paired with music by the band, including the song the beer was named after. Saturday’s event is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. If you love bold sips and even bolder sounds, grab your tickets today!

Savannah Bananas at McGregor Square

The Savannah Bananas are coming to Denver this weekend! This Saturday and Sunday, don’t miss out on all of the Bananas-themed fun at McGregor Square. Kicking off from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, festivities will be held close to Coors Field as the Bananas play their sold-out games. Watch the team compete on the massive 66-foot LED screen, all while you enjoy local food and drink spots and plenty of open space for the little ones to run around and play. This is the place to be if you weren’t able to get a ticket to the game!

PRO Tip: There will be drink specials at the Milepost Zero Food Hall, including a limited-edition commemorative Savannah Bananas cup.

Smash Fine Arts Festival

The Summer Smash Fine Arts Festival is this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Sponsored by Cherry Creek North, the 2025 festival will be hosted in the Fillmore Plaza. If this will be your first time attending, the festival is a highly curated, outdoor fine-art exhibit that showcases top-tier national artists. There will be live acoustic music performed throughout the weekend, so come on out and check out the displays! Each participant is juried, which ensures a high level of artistic excellence. Attendees will get the unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process in real time.

This Sunday, listen to the soothing sounds of the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra brass section as they perform at Concerts in the Carousel for the final concert of the summer. This is a series of free concerts taking place at the beautifully restored Historic Elitch Carousel Shell, which offers the community a unique way to take in live music while enjoying the ambiance of a historic setting. Scheduled for select Sunday afternoons, this is a great way to refresh yourself for the week ahead while you enjoy music from talented local artists! This Sunday’s event will run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.

Zach Bryan @ Red Rocks

Zach Bryan is once again coming to Red Rocks! Catch what’s sure to be an iconic performance this Sunday as the country star takes the stage at everybody’s favorite outdoor amphitheater. Sunday’s show will feature special guests Ocie Elliott and Jack Van Cleaf, with doors at 5:30 PM and music beginning at 7:00 PM. Zach Bryan is known for hit songs such as Something in the Orange, Heading South, Oklahoma Smokeshow, Pink Skies, Dawns and more.

Parade of Homes Denver

The 2025 Parade of Homes is scheduled to run from August 7th through the 24th on Thursdays through Sundays throughout Metro Denver. Homes will be open to the public from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is presented by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver. This annual event is designed to showcase the latest in architectural design and construction in the region, allowing the public to explore various models of homes and get a glimpse at a diverse range of styles, features, and trends. The Parade of Homes is free and open to the public, with visitors welcome to embark on self-guided tours at their own pace and on their own schedule. Homes are spread throughout the metro area, as opposed to being concentrated in one location.

Bright Nights at Four Mile

Don’t miss out as Four Mile Historic Park is transformed into a bright and luminous wonderland. Bright Nights at Four Mile are back Wednesdays through Sundays from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This is Denver’s original lantern festival experience, with each year unveiling brand-new theming, fresh experiences, and impressive new sculptures. 2025 will feature whimsical Farmhouse Flora and Fauna, as well as a surreal Chinese Dreamland. Pricing ranges from $19 to $48, with tickets increasing by $2 when you purchase them onsite at the box office.

PRO Tip: Mark your calendars in advance for select adult nights, which are limited to guests ages 21 and up. Remaining Adult Nights in 2025 are scheduled for August 27th and September 17th.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Whether your kiddo is into hands-on activities or they want to catch their favorite monster trucks in action, Denver has several options for exciting family-friendly weekend events! Grab your tickets to Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live on Saturday and Sunday or visit CSU Spur for free on Saturday to participate in demonstrations and kid-friendly activities.

Want to do something new with the family? Head on over to CSU Spur on the 2nd Saturday of the month, presented by Canvas Credit Union, for a free and family-friendly afternoon of activities, demonstrations, and more. Second Saturdays include programming such as cooking activities in the kitchen, watching veterinarians work, exploring the exciting world of virtual reality, strolling through the rooftop greenhouse, and even engaging with scientists at work. There’s truly something for every interest! This Saturday will be a Back to School special, so bring the kids out and get them excited to learn and engage during the upcoming fall semester.

Author Storytime @ Second Star to the Right Books

Teresa Argenbright is presenting an author story time at Second Star to the Right Bookstore this Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Argenbright will be reading from her book titled “Charlotte and Penelope and the Neighborhood Stage.” The book is the second installment in the children’s Magical Menagerie series. The reading is best suited for children ages 3 to 10. At the conclusion of the reading, stick around and peruse the diverse offerings at the bookstore! After all, there’s still time to work on that summer reading list before school rolls around and the dreaded homework is handed out.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is making its way to Ball Arena this Saturday and Sunday. Returning to the Mile High City with Glow-N-Fire, this exciting new experience will still feature the same level of fun and excitement that fans have come to expect. However, there will be an added fiery twist! Get ready for new heat and action at the ultimate monster truck show that will wow fans of all ages. Watch your favorite trucks, such as Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, and more, as they take on the arena.

PRO Tip: Special kids pricing is available for all shows, making this a great value for the whole family! There will be two shows on Saturday, at 12:30 PM and 7:30 PM, and one on Sunday at 2:30 PM.

Gold Rush Days & Steam Up Event

Gold Rush Days at the Colorado Railroad Museum are fun for the whole family! This Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, join in on this annual “end-of-summer” event, with activities ranging from train rides to hands-on demos. Take a riveting ride behind the Rio Grande Southern “Ten-Wheeler” No. 20, which is a coal-fired steam locomotive built in 1899 to serve the booming Gold Rush towns of Cripple Creek and Victor. Saturday will feature gold panning demonstrations, and both days will have face painters, pop-up exhibits, turntable demonstrations, and food vendors. The museum mascot, Spike the Railroad Dog, will be making appearances, so be sure to say hi.
