With Oktoberfest season gearing up, there are plenty of beer releases and festivities happening in breweries around Denver. There are also opportunities to sample bourbon at Denver’s Dairy Block and participate in a 5K in RiNo!
Big Fest Energy

With the kick-off of the Big Fest Energy at Call to Arms Brewing Company, you can don your best lederhosen and dirndls while you hoist your stein up in celebration of the Oktoberfest season. This is the largest immersive endeavor to date at the brewery and fans will be transported to the boisterous communal beer tents of Munich without ever having to leave the Mile High City. Enjoy sustenance from Lottie’s Meats and Provisions and Schatzi’s Pretzel. The brewery will additionally be hosting authentic German entertainment, as well as a German car festival and a 9-year anniversary party! There’s a lot to celebrate so make sure you come on out and join in on the festivities!

Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life

Fresh off his Ted Lasso success, Brett Goldstein is bringing his comedy routine to Red Rocks this weekend! Tickets are priced across a range from $53 to $250. The two-time Emmy award-winning actor, writer, director, and comedian is embarking on the second leg of his popular stand-up tour. The show is ticketed for ages 15 and over, making this a fun way to spend the evening with friends, family, and loved ones while everyone shares a multitude of laughs!

Friday Night Comedy Showcase

If you haven’t paid a visit to The Denver Comedy Lounge, you’ll want to check out their weekend comedy showcase! Friday night showcases and Saturday night stand-ups are great ways to enjoy a night on the town while you crack up with the rest of the audience. Catch some of the most hilarious stand-ups in The Mile High City. The lineups have been featured on broadcasts such as Comedy Central, NBC, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. The shows are held indoors at the back of Colorado Sake Co., which provides a cozy and intimate ambiance. There is a full-service dining menu, as well as a variety of delicious cocktails and beverages to unwind with. Tickets are priced between $21 and $25 and doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Denver Oktoberfest

Celebrate Colfax Avenue and the history of The HUB Building this Saturday while enjoying games, contests, art, live music, and silly fun meant for everyone from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM! Featured art pieces include a Drumstick exhibition and chicken sculptures and there will be a chicken strut contest — so start practicing! Sponsors for this year’s event include the Lakewood Arts Gallery, Red Herring Art Supply, and the WCCA. The Chicken Fest is a district-wide event that allows attendees to explore galleries, creative spaces, and more. There will be food trucks on-site, selling a variety of delicious bites and treats. Kids will love the dedicated fun zone with a range of games and face painting.

Dan + Shay Concert

Dan + Shay are coming to Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater this Saturday, with special guests Jake Owen and Dylan Marlowe. This all-ages show has tickets on sale starting at $85 for general admission lawn seats. This American country music duo is known for their hit songs, such as Tequila, Glad You Exist, and Speechless. If you want to enjoy a fun evening on the lawn while jamming out to good music and even better vibes — snag your tickets now and get ready to sing along.

Denver Fall BAZAAR: Sloan’s Lake

This outdoor market at Sloan’s Lake will feature 80+ carefully selected vendors, as well as a live DJ and craft cocktail options. Street food options will be available as well, so you can make a whole day out of sipping and shopping! The BAZAAR is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and there will also be a yoga class by YogaSix at 11:00 AM in the courtyard area. General admission is free and the event is open to all ages, as well as pups! You can indulge in a drink token package or combine your yoga class pass with bottomless mimosas for $30.

RiNo 5K & Larimer Mile

The 7th Annual RiNo 5K is making its 2024 return with a new date and an additional distance! You don’t have to be an experienced runner to participate. In fact, a lot of people enjoy taking a leisurely stroll with friends. You can sign up for the 5K run/walk or the 1-mile run/walk or even double up and participate in both distances! The race will take place in Denver’s most vibrant neighborhood on Saturday morning, so come on out and join the community for a day of fun, fitness, and art!
PRO Tip: There will be cold craft beer from Great Divide Brewing Co., as well as prizes donated by Topo Designs. The event supports the Denver Rescue Mission and its efforts to combat homelessness.
Bierstadt Oktoberfest

Munich is coming to RiNo this weekend in the form of the Bierstadt Oktoberfest celebration. On Saturday, join the brewery for the Oktoberfest Marzen release, and don’t feel ashamed to wear your lederhosen or dirndl while you throw axes, cuddle baby goats, and dunk your friends! There will be live music onsite, as well as traditional German eats. The event is free and open to the public, though there are limited party bundles available. The schedule for Saturday kicks off with the ceremonial fasser tapping (50 liters available), a dunk tank, a petting zoo, and Da Polka Guy DJ in the Bierhalle. Stein hoisting is scheduled for 8:30 PM and bingo follows shortly after.

This rendition of the Teaching Kitchen Workshop is all about everybody’s favorite dish — pasta! Participants will learn how to mix, knead, and boil to create homemade pasta and pasta sauce made entirely from scratch. This workshop is designed for ages 5+.

Tiny Tots: Diverse Colorado

This fun, engaging program uses orchestra music to celebrate Colorado’s rich and colorful landscape and cultural diversity. These kid-friendly concerts feature special guest collaborations and include music from Mariachi, Indigenous American, classical, and African traditions. The immersive concert is followed by a meet and greet time with the musicians so kiddos can ask questions! There will be two-time slots on Saturday, the first at 9:30 AM and the second at 10:45 AM. Both adult and children’s tickets are priced at $15.

The Big Bounce

The Big Bounce America is the world’s most extraordinary inflatable theme park. Kids will love the largest bounce house on the planet, as well as the multitudes of activities for all ages. Enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly fun on the longest inflatable obstacle course, the bouncy sports arena, and the oversized slides, ball pits, and more! Tickets are priced at $35 and come with a dedicated time slot for the bounce house. All sessions include 3 hours of inflatable madness.
