Denver Food + Wine Festival

Where? 1000 Larimer Street

Tickets to the Denver Food + Wine Festival are on sale now, so grab yours and enjoy bites and sips all weekend long. Hosted in Tivoli Quad on the Denver Auraria Campus, this is a can’t-miss festival for foodies across the Mile High City and beyond. Enjoy seminars, showdowns, and even a Dine Out Auction. This is Colorado’s biggest restaurant industry fundraiser and food and wine festival of the year, so whether you work in the industry or you just enjoy good food, this is the place to be.

PRO Tip: The Grand Tasting will be held rain or shine in the Quad on Saturday, so grab tickets to eat, drink and be merry as you enjoy samples from 50+ top local restaurants and over 700 drink options from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio. Attendees must be 21 and over. No children or pets are permitted at the tasting. 

Fall Miniatures Show & Sale 

Where? 360 Union Boulevard 
When? September 3rd-7th

The 2025 Fall Miniatures Show & Sale is a prime opportunity to explore workshops and enjoy two days of public sales, dinners, brunches and more in support of the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys! Celebrate The Roaring Twenties this year through Sunday and turn the clock back while you dial up the dazzle. Kick off the weekend in style with the Friday Night Buffet and the exclusive Preview Shopping Experience. The Sales Room will be open on Saturday and Sunday, with tickets priced at $10 for adults and $8 for museum members, with discounted rates for seniors and children. Confirmed dealers for 2025 include Designing Ways, Carol Sherry Miniatures, Creative Hollow, Pure Fantasy Castles, Wee Mini Delights and many more. 

PRO Tip: Explore prepaid workshop options here, including miniature pottery, upholstery techniques, 20s dressing area and more. Class sizes are limited, so sign up ASAP!

Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres

Where? 2001 Blake Street
When? September 5th-7th

Catch the Rockies as they compete against the San Diego Padres this weekend at Coors Field. Friday kicks off the matchup at 6:40 PM for Rockies x Nuggets Night. Rocky the Mascot, the Nuggets Dancers and the Nuggets Drumline will be in attendance and Peyton Watson will throw out the first pitch. On Saturday, the Colorado Rockies invite fans to delve into the magic of Harry Potter Night at 6:10 PM and on Sunday, round out the jam-packed weekend of baseball with Autograph Sunday at 1:10 PM. Select players and/or coaches will be available for autographs at the bottom of Sections 116-120 from approximately 11:40 AM to 12:00 PM.

PRO Tip: Advance individual game parking passes are available for $23 for games on Friday through Sunday. If parking passes are sold out, day of game passes will be available for Lot B, which opens 2.5 hours prior to the scheduled first pitch. 

Colorado Mineral and Fossil Fall Show 2025

Where? 10 East 120th Avenue 
When? September 5th-13th

The Colorado Mineral and Fossil Show will be held in a new location this year at Delta Hotels Denver in Northglenn. Show hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM this weekend and admission and parking are both free. Explore minerals, fossils, meteorites, jewelry, slabs and much more, with both retail and wholesale options. Whether you consider yourself a lifelong rockhound or you’re an amateur collector looking to add new pieces to your home display, this is the show for you!

PRO Tip: This year, the Mineral and Fossil Fall Show will unveil a sneak peek at Kirkby Collection of American Petrified Woods, located in Tent 1, space 101. 

4th Annual Neighborhood History & Garden Walk

Where? NW Corner of Pennsylvania and Virginia 
When? September 6th

This Saturday, enjoy the 4th Annual Neighborhood History & Garden Walk in Washington Park. The free self-guided tour will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and no tickets are required. Maps will be provided, both online and printed. Toys and treats for pups will also be available on a first come, first served basis. Colorado Master Gardeners from the CSU Denver Extension Horticulture Program will be onsite to answer questions and offer advice and The Washington Park Pollinator Corridor will be distributing complimentary packets of native wildflower seeds. Other activities include a to-scale solar system walk and a demonstration of solar cookers, weather permitting. 

PRO Tip: For additional fun, join the bingo game that invites you to visit the hosts, fill in the squares and receive a free gardening book while supplies last!

5th Annual Day with the Dogs Fair

Where? 10824 Leroy Drive 
When? September 6th 

Bring the pups out to celebrate the 5th Annual Day with the Dogs Fair in Northglenn! Hosted at the Bill Goodspeed Happy Tails Dog Park, this is sure to be a tail-wagging good time for four-legged companions and their two-legged owners alike. This year’s attractions include professional dog trainers, local pet store vendors, doggie dental services, tasty food trucks, veterinarians, pet wellness experts and even pet-themed artwork for sale! Attendees can also stretch with puppy yoga with Lola’s Rescues, which is this year’s featured special event. In total, there will be 30+ amazing dog-focused vendors and an afternoon jam packed with fun, fur and festivities. Don’t have a pup to call your own? Check out adoption and rescue organizations onsite to find a furry four-legged friend in need of their fur-ever home.

PRO Tip: The event is set to run from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Bring Fido along to enjoy the doggy splash pools and complimentary pup cups! 

Flock Party 2025

Where? 2300 Steele Street 
When? September 6th

Get ready to shake a tail feather at the annual Flock Party benefit at the Denver Zoo. This Saturday, party it up with unforgettable animal experiences, live music, craft cocktails and artisan eats. Proceeds from the benefit go towards the beloved animal family and towards supporting the zoo’s wildlife conservation work in Colorado and beyond. General admission hours run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with VIP ticket holders receiving early entry at 5:00 PM. This is a 21 and up event and all tickets include all-inclusive food and beverage. VIP attendees receive complimentary valet parking, a VIP guest gift and access to two exclusive VIP lounges. 

PRO Tip: Get ready for some truly great bites at this year’s Flock Party, such as rustic Italian flavors like rigatoni bolognese or delicious ginger chicken and pork dumplings. 

Rebel Run 5K

When? September 7th

This Sunday, join Conservation Colorado for the first-ever Rebel Run 5K! Run, walk or stroll — it doesn’t matter! Participating in any way that’s comfortable means that you’re sharing a passion for Colorado’s climate, air, land, water and communities. The 5K will be held in Denver’s Central Park and the 5K run will be chip timed. Registration for the run is priced at $40, while walkers receive a discounted rate of $25. Can’t make it out to Central Park this Sunday? No problem! There is a virtual race option for $10 that allows you to participate from anywhere.

PRO Tip: After the race, stick around at the finish line party for food, drinks, sponsor booths and more! 

Denver Broncos vs. Tennessee Titans

When? September 7th

With football starting back up, it’s time to grab tickets to watch the Denver Broncos in action. Sunday’s game will be the first of the regular season as the home team faces off against the Tennessee Titans at Empower Field at Mile High. The game kicks off at 2:05 PM but make a plan to arrive early to grab a bite and a drink. Single game tickets are on sale here. The team won’t play another home game until the end of the month, so take advantage this weekend and don’t miss out on a moment of the action.

PRO Tip: Mark your calendar for September 29th, which is when the Broncos return home to play the Bengals at 6:15 PM.

Outdoor Fitness Series @ Belleview Beer Garden 

Where? 6751 East Chenango Avenue 
When? September 7th

On select Sundays, head over to the Belleview Beer Garden for the Outdoor Fitness Series. The beer garden is partnering with local fitness studios, barre3 Belleview Station and YogaSix DTC to present the 2025 event lineup. Grab a mat and a water bottle as you stretch and move your body from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Each class includes an hour of fitness, as well as one mimosa or Aperol Spritz to enjoy after class for just $15. You’ll even receive silent disco headphones so you can lock in to your workout! Registration is required for the series. This Sunday, the class will be led by YogaSix. All classes are weather dependent. Register here

PRO Tip: Be sure to check out the People + Produce Farmers Market before or after class! There will be live music and bottomless mimosas until 2:00 PM.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Learn about the history of homesteading at DeLaney Farm this Sunday or cheer on the boats at the Dragon Boat Festival in Sloan’s Lake Park this weekend! 

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival

Where? 1700 North Sheridan Boulevard 
When? September 6th & 7th

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival will take place in Sloan’s Lake Park this Saturday and Sunday, with 200,000+ attendees expected this year across the two-day event. This is Colorado’s largest annual celebration of Asian and Asian American heritage, as well as the largest Dragon Boat Festival in the US! This year, celebrate 25 years of dragon boat fun at this wildly popular cultural bonanza. Across three performing arts stages, there will be 60+ performances and an Asian Marketplace featuring gifts, artwork, crafts and various novelties from Asia and the Pacific. Grab a bite at one of the two Taste of Asia food courts or swing by the beer garden for a refreshing beverage. There will also be live art demos and Dragonland, where kids and adults alike can partake in hands-on learning projects, such as kite making and tea education. 

PRO Tip: There will be no parking onsite. However, grab one of the free shuttles from the Auraria Campus to the festival. Attendees can use validation code “1102202” for $10 parking at the 5th Street Garage, Cherry or Elm Lot. 

DeLaney Farm Open Day

Where? 170 South Chambers Road 
When? September 7th

Enjoy an afternoon spent outdoors at DeLaney Farm this Sunday! Tour the historic property while you learn about homesteading and early Aurora history. This is an all ages event and admission is free. There will be crafts, snacks and even scavenger hunts in the education barn! Families can enjoy tours of Gully House and the Round Barn. The area was originally used by the DeLaney family, who were Irish immigrants, to raise horses, dairy cattle and other livestock. The family homesteaded in Aurora in the late 19th century. 

PRO Tip: Families should plan to spend at least 45 to 90 minutes at the farm. Parking will be available in the lot by the barn with the tall silo right off of Chambers Road.
