Lambs & Lederhosen: Oktoberfest at The Urban Farm

Where? 10200 Smith Road

This Saturday, check out what’s going on at The Urban Farm! This Oktoberfest event celebrates all things lambs and lederhosen, including live music, farm-grown food, games, farm tours, custom cocktails, and plenty of beer to go around! Festivities kick off at 5:30 PM and run until 8:00 PM. This local community farm doubles as an outdoor classroom and community space. The farm provides thousands of pounds of produce per year to food-insecure communities in the Denver Metro area. This event is for 21 and up, so leave the kiddos at home or visit the farm as a family another day!

PRO Tip: Tickets are priced at $100 and include food, drinks, and live entertainment. Most games can be played with a recommended donation amount, and great prizes are available to win! There will also be commemorative Oktoberfest mugs and farm merchandise available for purchase.

Belleview Station Fall BAZAAR

Where? East Chenango & South Newport

The Fall BAZAAR at Belleview Station is one you shouldn’t miss! From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, visit 80+ local vendors, food and fashion trucks, and the market bar. There will be live music to keep the good vibes high, as well! The location of the Fall BAZAAR is situated on the street between The Beer Garden and Tap and Burger. This unique event blends fashion, food, and drink together for a welcoming fall gathering designed to have something for everyone. The event is free unless you opt to buy the shop-and-sip package. There will be special fall cocktails available to purchase, which is sure to put you into the festive spirit. The BAZAAR is open to all ages, so bring the kids out for a fun afternoon in Denver!

PRO Tip: Shop & Sip tickets give guests access to 2 hours of bottomless mimosas or 5 drink tokens that are redeemable for beer, wine, and cocktails at any of the outdoor bars.

Colorado Rapids vs. Seattle Sounders FC

While the Colorado Rapids may be the underdogs in their matchup against the Seattle Sounders, it always helps when the local fan base comes out to cheer the team on! With over 40 games played between the two teams, Seattle has pulled out a win in nearly 30 of them. Cheer loud so the home team can get that first goal! Game time is at 7:30 PM but arrive early so you can get parked and make your way to your seat before kickoff. Of course, a sporting match wouldn’t be complete without your favorite concession snacks — so load up on chicken parmesan sandwiches, green chili mac and cheese, and even brisket-grilled cheeses!

Denver Whiskey Riot 2024

This Saturday, join your fellow whiskey enthusiasts for the inaugural Whiskey Riot! General admission ticket holders gain entry into the event from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $90 plus fees and taxes, with VIP being increased to $120. There will be over 200 varieties of whiskey on site available to try, so come thirsty! GA tickets include an official branded tasting glass to take home, as well as whiskey cocktails from your favorite brands. Due to the limited capacity of this event, there will be no designated driver tickets available. Guests are responsible for coordinating a ride using a ride-share app or a trusted friend or family member.

PRO Tip: If you want access to limited edition and rare whiskeys, grab your VIP tickets and gain exclusive entry into an uncrowded VIP area an hour ahead of the general admission hours!

Prairie Harvest Fest

Where? East 59th Place and North Orleans Street

The Prairie Harvest Fest in Aurora will be held at High Prairie Park from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM this Saturday. This community event is designed to benefit Project Angel Heart, which prepares and delivers hundreds of thousands of medically tailored meals to over 5,000 Coloradans who are living with cancer, kidney disease, HIV/AIDS, and other severe illnesses. The fest has fun for the whole family, including face painting, and everyone’s favorite — bounce houses! There will be food trucks for lunch and even an option to make a donation to the project for “pumpkin tickets,” which can be redeemed towards the purchase of a pumpkin.

PRO Tip: There will be a costume contest for humans and pets at the fest. Test out your Halloween attire and see if you can win a prize!

Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair

Where? 5726 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard

Head over to Olde Town Arvada for a weekend of shopping featuring over 100 hand-selected artisans. Shoppers can expect to find all the newest trendsetting indie goods, including fashion and jewelry, paper goods, home decor and housewares, art, photography, food and so much more! The festival is free to attend and the location is open to all ages and is handicap accessible. Pets on leash are welcome to join! Artisans for this year’s fair include Two Ravens Soap Company, Matty Miller Studio, Loom Concepts, Mountain Essentials and so many more.

PRO Tip: The hours for Saturday and Sunday’s fair are set for 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so make a whole afternoon out of it or just swing by for an hour or two.

Lakewood Cider Days

Where? 801 South Yarrow Street

Cider Days is an event meant to celebrate Lakewood’s agricultural heritage with an entertaining mix of live performances, activities, and delicious harvest treats. This annual festival offers fun for the whole family, including tractor pulls, vintage power displays, wagon and barrel train rides, historic demonstrations, and a unique assortment of exhibitors and vendors. You’ll find all things apple at the festival, including apple pressing, apple goodies, and apple cider sold by the glass or gallon. There will be an apple pie eating competition each day at 3:00 PM and menu items for sale include caramel apple dippers, caramel apple cheesecake, Granny Smith grilled cheese, chicken and waffles topped with whipped cinnamon apple butter, apple pie churros, apple pie funnel cake and so much more.

PRO Tip: Tickets for Cider Days are on sale now. Grab yours for $10 (advance adult admission) or $15 (day of adult admission). Children receive a discounted rate of $8 for ages 1-12 and babies always tag along for free!

Hot Chocolate Run

This Sunday, lace up your sneakers and join in on America’s sweetest run! Complete a 5K, 10K, or 15K around Washington Park before you hit the post-run party. Registration to this event includes an exclusive Hot Chocolate Run jacket, a commemorative finisher’s medal, a chocolate fondue finisher’s mug, free race photos, and of course — the famous hot chocolate itself! This weekend, watch the world’s top-ranked cowboys and cowgirls as they ride into Denver to compete in three rodeo performances with a chance to win big bucks and be crowned champions! Attendees can also enjoy all the classic rodeo fanfare, such as interactive games, mechanical bull riding, and special events.

Kids and parents alike will love the mysterious creatures, the candy stations, as well as the seasonal snacks. This weekend is your first chance to head to the zoo for trick or treating but no worries if you already have plans! Boo at the Zoo is happening every weekend before Halloween, with October 31st being a sensory-friendly night for the little ones who are more sensitive to the hustle and bustle.

PRO Tip: Boo at the Zoo is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, so grab an early dinner and then get ready to dive into some candy!

Little University: Magic of Blowing Bubbles

Denver’s Hadley Branch Library is excited for another Little University program on Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Make your way to the community room to learn all about the joy and excitement kiddos can get from playing with bubbles. Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun. After all, what’s better than blowing bubbles and reminiscing on your own childhood memories? In between playing with the bubbles, little ones will have a chance to learn about how and why they work.

PRO Tip: This is a free program and no registration is required. The activity is designed with the ages of 0 to 5 in mind.
