The Denver Travel Show and the Colorado Golf Expo are both scheduled for this weekend, so make plans to visit the Colorado Convention Center this weekend. This weekend in Denver, locals and visitors alike can take advantage of Restaurant Week deals and specials, as well as First Friday in RiNo festivities.

Denver Restaurant Week

Denver has become a destination for foodies, with plenty of fine dining options at chef-owned eateries and a diverse selection of worldwide cuisine in food halls, markets, and casual dining establishments. Denver Restaurant Week is in its 21st year and will include four price points in $10 increments from $25 to $55 for a multi-course meal. With over 300 options, diners won’t have a difficult time finding something that sounds equal parts delicious and exciting. From Los Chingones RiNo, Bon Ami Bistro & Creperie, Aloy Modern Thai, Bruno’s Italian Bistro and so many more — explore the dining scene in the Mile High City and take advantage of tantalizing deals and specials. This year, diners can create an account and favorite restaurants that pique their interest. The new portal also allows diners to mark when they have visited a restaurant to keep track of their personalized Denver Restaurant Week experience! 

PRO Tip: Remember, tables fill up fast during Denver Restaurant Week. Diners are encouraged to make reservations and experiment with earlier or later seatings, while also taking advantage of weekday dining options!

10th Annual Flagship Festival

The 10th Annual Flagship Festival is coming to Denver this Saturday and Sunday! Celebrate a decade of film this International Women’s Day and help amplify the stories of women. The festival is set to be bigger and bolder than ever, with 18 extraordinary guest speakers to commemorate this unforgettable moment. There will also be a live music performance by Denver pop star N3ptune! The festival will return to the MCA Denver Holiday Theatre and seating will be limited — so reserve your weekend pass today for $120 or buy an individual day pass for $65. Colorado Golf Expo 2025

This year’s Colorado Golf Expo will be held at the Colorado Convention Center in Hall D. The schedule of events for the weekend kicks off from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday, with a bagpipe professional opening ceremony and the World Long Drive Championship Qualifier. On Saturday, the fun continues with another qualifier from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday wraps things up from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be door prize giveaways, such as a trip to 4 to Chambers Bay and many other prizes at the 90′ Long Putt Challenge! Attendees can also test the latest golf clubs at the indoor driving range or play a round of Back 9 Mini Golf!

PRO Tip: The first 100 people in line on Friday will receive a free expo hat!

Denver Travel Show

The Denver Travel Show will be held at the Colorado Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday. Hailing as America’s Favorite Travel Show, you won’t want to miss opportunities to learn about thousands of new vacation options at the top destinations around the globe. Travel experts will be onsite to help personalize and book your trip or discuss travel tips, trends, and advice for your upcoming adventures. Attendees can gain access to over 60 travel seminars, plus the chance to meet photographer Chris Burkard and travel guidebook author Pauline Frommer!

PRO Tip: Onsite parking is priced at $12 and show hours will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.

Tri-State Auto Show

Where? 4655 North Humboldt Street
When? March 8th & 9th

The 46th Annual Tri-State Auto Exhibition is being held at the National Western Complex this weekend, starting at 10:00 AM on both days! Tickets are on sale now for $21.50 for adults and $6.50 for children ages 6 to 12. This year will also feature the 2nd Annual Miss Sri State Pinup Contest, complete with entrants dressed as their favorite vintage ads at 11:00 AM on Sunday. Judging awards for the Scale Auto Contest will be awarded at approximately 1:00 PM on Sunday. The contest is open to all-scale autos, motorcycles, and wheel-based vehicles. Free entry is provided with 2-day passes.

PRO Tip: Active and retired military personnel and veterans receive $1 off admission, as do guests ages 65+ with appropriate ID.

Runnin’ of the Green

Where? Washington Park, 1700 East Louisiana Avenue
When? March 9th

The 37th Annual Runnin’ of the Green is scheduled for this Sunday in Washington Park. This is Denver’s classic Irish jog, featuring a 7K and 2-mile route dubbed the “Leprechaun Leap.” Runnin’ of the Green has been a Colorado charity event for 35 years and proudly supports the Fetal Health Foundation. Over the years, the race has been voted as having the best post-race party and has successfully raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities. Participants will enjoy live Irish music, Irish dancers, a beer garden, refreshments, and even a performance by the Colorado Youth Pipe Band!

PRO Tip: Entry prices are set at $53.85 for adults ages 18 to 59 and $49.45 for ages 60+ and youth entries for the 7K and 2-mile walk/run. Save $5 with the code: LUCKY5

First Friday in RiNo

Ring in the first Friday of the month in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood! Explore the district and create a customized First Friday itinerary that suits the interest of your group. First Friday features different exhibitions, gallery openings, and artist talks every month. In March, attendees can attend the Chris Haven gallery opening at LUX FORGE or meet the artists at 73 Art Agency. Other exciting First Friday events include a performance by Laurence Guy with Enmeshed, AGXXISTENCE + St. Mike at the Larimer Lounge at 9:00 PM or check out the Bring Your Own Vinyl Night with artist of the month Lisa Nevot at Odell Brewing Company from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

PRO Tip: While standard First Friday hours are from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, you’ll often find locations open during the day and later into the night.

Holi Colorado — Festival of Colors 2025

Where? 7201 South Potomac Street
When? March 8th

Holi Colorado is the biggest festival of colors in the Mile High City. Join the celebration with drinks, music, and unlimited entertainment. Attractions at the festival include DJs, food stalls with various cuisine and chaat options, as well as the awesome color throw with friends. There will also be enough space to accommodate up to 4,000 new friends! General admission is priced at $25 for adults and $20 for children ages 6 to 13. Kids ages 5 and under get free entry to the festival. Colors are priced from $5 to $10.

PRO Tip: Students with a valid ID can show it at the check-in gate to get a large-size color for free!

HEYDAY: An Indoor Fair with Urban Flair

Where? 1075 Park Avenue West

City Cast Denver is excited to present HEYDAY, an indoor fair with urban flair! This first-of-its-kind fair is in its inaugural year, with the promise of nostalgic state fair cornerstones such as carnival games and prizes, inflatable fun and amusements, food and drink options, grandstand entertainment, and more. Commemorative brass tokens will be sold for guests to play games, eat, drink, get tarot readings, enjoy custom balloons, and more. This will be a cash-free event. HEYDAY is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

PRO Tip: Tickets are on sale for $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages 12 and under. To limit wait times, entry times will be provided with tickets, and guests are asked to arrive within 30 minutes of their time slot.

Josh Wolf @ Comedy Works Downtown

Where? 1226 15th Street
When? March 6th-8th

Josh Wolf is coming to Comedy Works Downtown this weekend, with five shows across three days! Wolf has become a sought-after personality known for his quick-witted commentary and his work writing on hit television shows. His comedy special, Father of the Year, received over 11.5 million views on YouTube. Fans can also find Wolf on his podcast: Hey Maaan: A Father & Son Comedy Podcast that Josh produces with his son, Jacob Wolf. These are 21 and up shows, with start times ranging from 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:15 PM and 9:15 PM. Tickets range in price from $30 to $70.

PRO Tip: VIP tickets include priority seating in the first five rows, as well as a post-show meet and greet with Josh and an exclusive laminate.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

This weekend, watch the joy on the kiddo’s faces when they see a life-size T.Rex for the first time or spend the afternoon exploring museum halls, such as the Denver Museum of Nature & Science of the History Colorado Center for a low sensory experience.

Jurassic Quest

Jurassic Quest is the largest and most realistic traveling dinosaur experience in the country! This is the perfect event for families who love all things prehistoric and awesome. Kids and adults of all ages will be amazed by the true-to-detail and size Dinos, which include a 60-foot-long Spinosaurus and an 80-foot-long Apatosaurus. Of course, Jurassic Quest wouldn’t be complete without the gigantic life-size T.Rex! There will also be a one-of-a-kind interactive raptor training experience, as well as other fun activities like Dino bounce houses, stationary dinosaur rides, and opportunities to meet and green lovable baby dinosaurs.

PRO Tip: The littlest Dino lovers have access to “Tricera-tots,” which is a soft play space. Kids can also enjoy The Quest, which is an interactive challenge that takes adventurers through 10 clues for the chance to earn a reward.

Free Day at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is hosting a Free Day this Friday, so come on out and satisfy your curiosity and take advantage of the SCFD Free Days! No ticket is required for general museum admission on these select days, so walk up anytime and gain access to the museum’s Wildlife Halls or to the permanent exhibits. Temporary exhibitions at the museum include Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep, Angkor: The Lost Empire of Cambodia, and Discovering Teen Rex. The museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and most Fridays, hours are extended until 9:00 PM.

PRO Tip: A separate ticket is required for those who want to visit the planetarium or the brand-new Infinity Theatre. There will be two free days in April — on the 7th and 27th, so make your calendar now!

Low Sensory Morning by History Colorado Center

The History Colorado Center is opening its doors to families and self-advocates who would benefit from a lower sensory museum environment experience. From 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM this Saturday, the museum will close to the general public and limit attendance. The sounds in the exhibits will be turned down for low-sensory morning guests. Tickets are free but space is limited, so reserve yours in advance! The museum houses interactive exhibitions, programs for kids and adults, and a range of special events and cultural performances throughout the year.

PRO Tip: If you can’t make this low sensory morning, 2025 will feature four more dates May 17th, July 19th, September 13th, and November 1st!
