2024 Denver PrideFest
Where? 101 14th Avenue
The 50th annual PrideFest is returning to Denver on June 22nd through the 23rd. First hosted in 1974, this is one of Denver’s long standing traditions that celebrates LGBTQ+ inclusivity, diversity, and equality. The two-day festival brings together communities from across Colorado, with an estimated attendance of over half a million in 2023. The iconic event is held at Denver’s Civic Center Park and will host over 250 exhibitors, as well as 30 food vendors and an array of captivating live performances. As always, Denver PrideFest is totally free to attend and open to the public.
PRO Tip: This year, Denver Pride is excited to announce the inaugural Gayborhood Market. This inaugural space is dedicated to supporting local LGBTQ+ small businesses, entrepreneurs, crafters, and artisans.
Denver Pride 5K
Where? 200 East Colfax Avenue
Denver Pride’s 5K is raising funds to support The Center on Colfax’s variety of programs and services for the LGBTQ community in Colorado. The fundraising goal of 2024 is $225,000! The 5K race sets off from the Colorado State Capitol building on June 22nd, 2024. Check-in begins at 8:00 AM and the race starts at 9:30 AM. Registration costs $39.99 and participants can earn cool swag such as socks, pins, t-shirts, umbrellas, and even VIP tickets to Denver’s PrideFest if they help raise funds for the mission. Youth participants receive a discounted registration of $34.99 and children 5 and under racing with a parent can do so for free!
PRO Tip: Whether you run, walk, or sashay — your participation is going towards helping a great cause! This annual event is in partnership with Denver PrideFest, so make sure to check out the Coors Light Pride Parade and the festival as well!
Coors Light Denver Pride Parade
Where? Colfax Avenue & Franklin
The Coors Light Pride Parade is coming back to Denver on Sunday, June 23rd as part of the Denver Pride festivities. The parade begins at 9:30 AM and attendance numbers are expected to be in the 100,000 range. Attendance is free — so just show up and cheer on the Rocky Mountain queer community in Denver. The route begins at Colfax Avenue & Franklin and marches 14 blocks before disbanding at the state capitol. Staging is set to occur at Cheesman Park.
PRO Tip: Due to the high number of expected attendees, organizers encourage families to arrive early to stake out their spot along the parade route to ensure they have a good view of the marchers, vehicles, and performers.
Month of Pride Colfax Art Crawl Celebration
Where? 6501 West Colfax Avenue
Come party on Colfax this June 7th to celebrate Pride Month! All galleries and studio spaces will be open to the public and free of charge, allowing everyone access to beautiful artwork and an inclusive creative atmosphere. There will be a range of activities, such as craft tables, community mural paintings, artist demos, and opportunities for you to get your hands dirty and try mediums such as clay and watercolor painting! The celebration kicks off at 6:00 PM and wraps up around 9:00 PM. There will be plenty of food and drink options, as well as live music to keep the vibes high.
PRO Tip: All 40 West Art District events are family-friendly and there will be ample parking!
Colorado Rockies Vs. Pittsburgh Pirates: Pride Night
Where? 2001 Blake Street
On Saturday, June 15th, join the Colorado Rockies as they host their annual Pride Night event. The game is set to begin at 7:10 PM and with the purchase of the pride ticket package, fans will receive a limited edition Rockies-themed pride fanny pack that they can proudly wear to show their support for the community. A portion of each package will also be donated to The Center on Colfax, which is the state’s largest LGBTQIA+ resource and community center, and One Colorado, an advocacy organization for LGBTQIA+ rights.
PRO Tip: Ticket package options feature options for every budget, with prices starting from $26 for the upper reserved outfield, $40 for pavilion seating, and $75 for club level. Fanny pack distribution info will be emailed to ticket holders a week before the event.
A Taste Takeover Pride Dance Party
Where? 119 South Broadway
On June 21st, Misfitts Entertainment is presenting A Taste Takeover. This queer pride party will be at one of the city’s hottest new dance clubs — Denver Dahlia. Kicking off at 8:00 PM, bring your best dance moves and party the night away with your new closest friends. The tunes will be spinning until 2:00 AM, so be ready to celebrate until the morning hours.
PRO Tip: Early bird tickets start at $20 — so grab yours while they’re available because supplies are limited.
Boulder Pride Festival
Where? 1212 Canyon Boulevard
On June 30th, the annual Boulder Pride Festival is kicking off with food trucks, youth activities, live entertainment, and 100+ vendors to shop from! The event is hosted by Out Boulder County and runs from 11:30 AM until 5:00 PM. Arrive early and stay all day with a jam packed schedule of activities, demonstrations and pride merchandise from local partners! All members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies are invited to join in on the celebration and check out the full-stage program at the Boulder Bandshell.
PRO Tip: Admission to the festival is free to the public. If you’re interested in partaking in the Boulder Pride Motorcade, sign up ahead of time. The motorcade is free to individual community members and there’s a small fee for nonprofits and for-profit businesses.
Longmont Pride Festival
Where? 700 Longs Peak Avenue
On June 7th, head up to Longmont’s Roosevelt Park for the city’s annual Pride celebration and festival. The event begins at 3:30 PM and runs until 8:00 PM and is free to the public. Not only is this a great way to connect with the local community, but there will be food trucks, family activities, and entertainment throughout the day. With over 100 vendors expected, there will be plenty of local businesses to support.
PRO Tip: Those looking to set up an exhibit can submit an application for this year’s Pride Festival. Anyone who has never participated in either the Boulder or Longmont pride events will have their application fee waived for the 2024 festivals.
LGBTQ+ Variety Show
Where? 6501 West Colfax Avenue
This exciting event is hosted by 40 West Arts and is scheduled for Friday, June 14th. Performers of all abilities and talents are invited to showcase their skills on stage. If you simply want to be an onlooker, then this event is still for you as the performers need a captivated audience! All types of performance art are welcome, including songs, acoustic melodies, drag performances, skits, comedy routines, poems, spoken word, and even talks on queer history. Each artist will have between 3 and 5 minutes on stage to express themselves authentically.
PRO Tip: The deadline for submissions is Saturday, May 25th — so get yours in while there’s still time!
A Legacy of Pride: West of 50 Rooftop Pride Party
Where? 1301 East Colfax Avenue
On June 6th, come party with Steve-Anne and CowPoke Avi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Denver Pride. This event is a collaboration between West of 50 and Denver Public Library and will feature trivia, karaoke, prizes, and music on the rooftop of The Center on Colfax. Light snacks and soda will be provided. Attendees are asked to dress in 70s attire and there will be an award for the best dressed! The event is free to the public and kicks off at 4:00 PM and runs until 7:00 PM.
PRO Tip: The parking lot at The Center on Colfax is limited, though there is free street parking in the immediate area and several paid lots nearby.
Denver Pride Professionals LGBTQ+ Networking Social

This year’s networking social for LGBTQ+ professionals will be hosted at Left Hand Brewing in RiNo from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on June 10th. This free in-person gathering is a great opportunity to meet hundreds of other like-minded Denverites in a welcoming, fun atmosphere. Whether you’re established in your field or just embarking on your career, you’ll have the chance to connect with professionals across a range of industries, exchange ideas, and build your network.

Denver Pride Bar Crawl

Looking for one of the most vibrant, raucous events in town? The Denver Pride Bar Crawl will be held on June 29th and attendees will have the opportunity to explore the heart of the city and paint the neighborhood every color of the rainbow. The hand-picked stops along the route will feature specialty cocktails and lively entertainment. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies are invited to attend and everyone is encouraged to march proudly and have a memorable night. Remember, drink responsibly and designate a driver before sampling the curated drinks.
PRO Tip: Tickets include free entry into some of Denver’s best bars, a pub crawl wristband, delicious pride-themed drinks, food specials, as well as live music, bands, and DJs at the venues.

One Colorado
One Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization and has dedicated its mission to fighting to advance equality for LGBTQ+ Coloradans and their loved ones through health care, education, advocacy, and state policy. Over the past 12 years, One Colorado has advocated for the codification of 18 pieces of pro-equality legislation designed to protect LGBTQ+ rights.
PFLAG Denver
PFLAG Denver was founded in 1980 and for over 40 years has tirelessly been serving the Denver Metro Area by offering monthly in-person support group meetings and now with additional online groups for those unable to attend. The organization stays active in the community by speaking at events, providing resources and materials to groups, sponsoring conferences, organizing youth-centered activities, and awarding over $100,000 in scholarships to LGBTQ+ youth.
The Center on Colfax
Since opening in 1976, The Center on Colfax has transformed into the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the region. Through service offerings such as insurance help, fitness classes, social support groups, and more — the center aims to engage, empower, enrich, and advance the queer community in Colorado.
Gay for Good
Gay for Good promotes diversity, inclusion, and mobilization amongst Denver’s LGBTQ+ community and their allies. The organization facilitates service projects that help individuals get involved and make new friends while making a difference in their local community. The Denver chapter participates in events such as garden clean-ups, feline rescues, and kitchen assistance.
