Get ready for a solid weekend lineup in the Mile High City, with events ranging from the annual Denver Boat Show, a Health & Wellness Fair at Stanley Marketplace and several professional sports games. However you enjoy spending your time off, we hope you enjoy it!

Activities, Events, Shows, and More in Denver This Weekend 

Support the Avalanche and the Nuggets as they face off against opposing teams at home or grab your tickets and enjoy the Pro Rodeo while it’s in town! This weekend also offers a 10K and 5K race for those eager to enjoy the colder weather, as well as happy hours and live music.

Belles & Boots Happy Hour

Happy Hour at Belles & Boots happens Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Treat yourself to a break while you kick back and enjoy happy hour done the right way. Whether you need to wind down after work or you want to pre-game a night out, you’ll love ordering all your favorites at prices that won’t break the bank. Grab $5 wells, $5 wine and the signature $4 Howdy Beer! Kick up your boots and enjoy a little pick-me-up with a friend or two.

2026 Health & Wellness Fair

The 2026 Health & Wellness Fair at Stanley Marketplace will be held this Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event is spearheaded by Elevate Vendor Events and is designed to kick off the new year with free health screenings, fitness activities, wellness vendors and community fun all in one convenient location! At the fair, attendees will be able to discover new ways to support their health while also making integral connections with local wellness professionals. The event is free to attend and is open to all ages, so bring your friends and family to support a happy and healthy year!

Free Day at CELL

Where? 99 West 12th Avenue 
When? January 16th

If you’ve been eager to check out the new, state-of-the-art CELL Exhibit, now is your chance! This Saturday, take advantage of Free Day at CELL! This interactive and educational exhibit welcomes visitors to discover some of the most pressing issues impacting national security and what the public’s role is in enhancing public safety. This free day is part of SCFD. No ticket or time slot is necessary and the public can visit between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM for no-cost admission. Upcoming free dates at CELL also include February 20th and March 20th — so mark your calendar now! 

PRO Tip: Due to the complexity of the content, the exhibit is recommended for those ages 14 and older.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Nashville Predators

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? January 16th

This Friday, kick off the weekend at Ball Arena as you cheer on the Colorado Avalanche. The home team is taking on the Nashville Predators at 7:00 PM, with tickets available now. The Avalanche have been relentless this season and have the potential to become one of the most dominant regular-season teams in league history. Cale Makar (#8) is the overwhelming favorite to win the James Norris Memorial Trophy this season. Makar leads all defensemen in points and assists and sits third in the league in goals. For the Predators, players to keep an eye on include #58 Michael Bunting and #90 Ryan O’Reilly.

The Choir of Man

The Choir of Man will be at Buell Theatre this Friday and Saturday. The show is a 2025/2026 added attraction, so don’t miss out! The runaway international hit is taking the stage in Denver with 90 minutes of indisputable joy for all ages. It’s a party and a concert and the best pub “lock-in” you’ve ever been to. The Choir of Man features pop, classic rock, folk, Broadway, and pub tunes. There’s something for everybody, so grab all of your friends and watch as this multi-talented cast of nine guys combines their hair-raising harmonies, foot-stomping singalongs and world-class dance and poetic meditations in a homage to the local pub. There will even be a real working bar on stage!

2026 Denver Boat Show

Where? 700 14th Street
When? January 16th-18th

The Denver Boat Show will be held this Friday through Sunday at the Colorado Convention Center. The show is proudly presented by the Colorado Marine Dealers Association. If you’re in the market for the best pricing of the year on 2026 models and accessories, this is the place to be! The exhibitor list includes the Colorado Boat Center, Elevated Marine, Mastercraft Colorado, Northern Colorado Marine, and many, many more! Hours for the boat show range daily, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday. Sunday’s show will cap off the weekend from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Grab your tickets here

Lagerhaus Live — Badda Boom Brass Band

Bierstadt Lager is all about supporting local music! Check out Lagerhaus Live this Saturday at 8:00 PM when you can catch the Badda Boom Brass Band. If you’re looking for a memorable evening of live music and good vibes, then grab a friend and groove to the rhythm as talented local musicians take the stage twice a week. This is an in-person event that’s designed to bring the community together over a shared love of music and beer. Sip on fresh lager at this adult playground, complete with giant yard games, multiple levels and friendly staff. Whether you want to play competitive corn hole or you’re looking to kick back and relax or you want to dance the night away — you can do it all at Lagerhaus Live!

Denver Nuggets Home Games

Show the Nuggets some support this Saturday and Sunday as they have back to back games at Ball Arena. Facing off against the Washington Wizards on Saturday at 7:00 PM, the Nuggets will turn around and play the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday at 6:00 PM. With Nikola Jokic still out with a knee injury, the three-time MVP center isn’t expected back on the court until the end of January or early February. Recently, the NBA announced that Nuggets forward Peyton Watson has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from January 5th through January 11th. This makes Watson the 20th Nugget in franchise history to be named Player of the Week and the third this season alone.

Hunger Action Pro Rodeo

Where? 4600 Humboldt Street
When? January 18th

The Hunger Action Pro Rodeo is presented by CommonSpirit Health and features the Westernaires. Join in on the action of this Pro Rodeo Tournament at Bracket 4, Rodeo 1. The National Western Stock Show is host to 20 pro rodeos, consisting of 8 brackets, 3 semifinals and the Pro Rodeo Finals. Watch as world champion cowboys and cowgirls roll into the Mile High City for the first major pro rodeo competition of the season. You can catch it all, from barrel racing to bronc riding and team roping and mutton bustin’. All events will be held at the Denver Coliseum. During the Hunger Action Rodeo, CommonSpirit and National Western will make a donation to the Food Bank of the Rockies.

Colorado Cold Rush 10K & 5K

When? January 18th

Itching to get outdoors and stretch your legs? Sign up for the Colorado Cold Rush 10K or 5K today! 2026 marks the inaugural Cold Rush race, formerly known as the Arctic Prairie Dog Half Marathon. This winter running tradition is for all those daring enough to conquer the wintery elements in January, one mile at a time! The race will kick off at Louisville’s Coal Creek Golf Course and run through neighborhoods, past fairways and along ponds and open spaces. Registration for the 5K is priced at $50 and increases to $55 for the 10K. Community Food Share of Louisville is the charity partner and there will be a race day raffle for those who bring 5 non-perishable items!

Grab your broomstick and get ready to join the magic of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Boettcher Concert Hall. This weekend, your Colorado Symphony will be performing every note from the original full film score of the 4th movie. The film will be simultaneously projected on screen! Justin Freer will be conducting as the Triwizard Tournament comes to Hogwarts™. There will be three showtimes, with Friday kicking things off at 7:00 PM. Saturday will also feature a 7:00 PM program and Sunday will have a 1:00 PM performance.

PRO Tip: The film is rated PG. Families are encouraged to grab their tickets now as this is sure to be a popular event! 

Free Week of Dance Classes

Where? 9910 Wadsworth Parkway #100
When? Through January 17th

The Colorado Movement Lab is excited to welcome young dancers to participate in their Free Week of Dance Classes event. Through Saturday, the Movement Lab will be hosting all ages and levels to experience a new approach to movement through dance. Classes will be available all week for ages 1-2 and their caregivers, as well as ages 3 through 18 and adult dancers. Class options range from ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, tap, pointe, pilates, somatic, improvisation and more! There’s truly something for everyone of every age and level.

What little kid isn’t excited for the opportunity to get an up close look inside select aircraft? Head over to the Air & Space Museum for this awesome program where attendees will learn all about the history of aircraft, instruments and controls. January’s featured aircraft include the F-86H Sabre, the B-57 Canberra, the Paser-Bushby Mustang II, the LTV A-7D Corsair II, and the AV-8B+ Harrier II. The Paser-Bushby Mustang II will be wheelchair accessible. Cockpit Demo Day will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You can pre-purchase your tickets here
