{"id":3879,"date":"2024-10-03T14:08:42","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T20:08:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmprolocal.commz.com\/blog\/?p=3879"},"modified":"2024-10-03T14:15:02","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T20:15:02","slug":"professionals-miracles-foundation-isabella","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmprolocal.com\/blog\/professionals-miracles-foundation-isabella\/","title":{"rendered":"Professionals Miracles Foundation &#8211; Isabella"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our mission is to provide assistance to Denver Metro area children and families to help improve the lives of children diagnosed with a life threatening illness, faced with a lifetime medical condition, or are involved in tragic accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Isabella<\/strong> is a six-year-old girl with transfusion-dependent Diamond-Blackfan anemia.&nbsp; She was diagnosed when she was one month old after showing symptoms with severe macrocytic anemia with reticulocytopenia. A diagnostic bone marrow aspirate and biopsy was performed which demonstrated hypocellularity with erythroid hypoplasia and an early maturation arrest.&nbsp; Additionally, Isabella has been chronically neutropenic. She is proceeding with a bone marrow transplant for the best curative option. Isabella is now scheduled to receive a bone marrow transplant. Her mom will need to take an extensive amount of time from work as Isabella is extraordinarily immuno-compromised and will be during the bone marrow transplant time.&nbsp; Their family will experience a huge amount of financial obligations which will make for additional stress on this family. To give a shorter version of this little girl\u2019s illness, her red blood cell count was extremely low at birth and it was determined she was suffering from anemia\u2026unfortunately, her illness which is also congenital, found its way through her blood system and turned it into Leukemia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-you-can-help\">How You Can Help<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow us on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/professional.miracles.foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a>, and invite your family and friends to follow us as well \u2013 share our story!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask your employer if they have matching charitable gift programs and enroll PMF.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donate directly to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/professionalsmiraclesfoundation.com\/donate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foundation<\/a>&nbsp;or through Colorado Gives Day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you know a sick or injured child who is in need please let us know. We do have a few qualifications\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They must reside in the Denver Metro area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grants can only be given through a 501(c)3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/professionalsmiraclesfoundation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Professionals&nbsp;Miracles&nbsp;Foundation<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;is a nonprofit charity created in 2002 that has received its charitable status under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
