Adult Nights at Bright Nights

Leave the kids at home and experience Bright Nights at Four Mile during a special 21+ edition of Denver’s popular lantern festival. Explore the illuminated displays with friends this Friday and be amazed at the larger-than-life lanterns inspired by insects, wildflowers, animals and underwater creatures. Adult Night adds a more grown-up atmosphere, with DJs, additional sponsor activations and opportunities to enjoy food and beverages while you stroll through the glowing displays. This is a unique date night option or a memorable evening out with friends. Guests must be 21+ to attend these select nights, so grab your tickets now!

The Colorado Home Show is back, giving area residents a chance to get a jump on their upcoming home improvement projects. Held at the Colorado Convention Center, this popular show expects to see 250+ exhibitors, ranging from professionals and experts across the remodeling, home design, landscaping and general home improvement industries. Raise a glass of Colorado wine this Saturday at the 2026 Fall Colorado Wine Walk at Dairy Block in downtown Denver hosted by Blanchard Family Wines. This premier wine festival offers wine lovers of all backgrounds an opportunity to sample delicious wines from Colorado producers, all while soaking in the lively atmosphere of one of LoDo’s most popular spots. The Wine Walk is set to run from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with general festivities kicking off at 7:00 PM. Lace up and get moving at one of Denver’s most colorful neighborhood runs this Saturday. Starting and finishing at 27th and Larimer Street, the RiNo 5K + Larimer Mile offers two ways to participate — so whether you’re running or walking, everyone is invited! The 5K run/walk begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the Larimer Mile at 9:30 AM. The course will take participants through Denver’s RiNo Art District, offering awesome street art and neighborhood scenery throughout the course. Once you cross the finish line, you’ll want to stick around for post-race festivities and refreshments to celebrate your accomplishment.

Free Day at the DAM

September’s free day also coincides with the museum’s 37th Annual Friendship Powwow, which celebrates Native American art and culture and will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors are encouraged to explore the museum’s collections and exhibitions while engaging with the special programming connected to the powwow.

6th Annual Day with the Dogs Fair and Rescue Event

Do you love all things airplanes and breakfast? If you answered yes, then you’re in luck because Wings Over the Rockies is hosting a morning specifically designed for aviation enthusiasts and families who want a chance to see aircraft up close on an active ramp. This month’s event will also feature vintage vehicles from the Central Colorado Corvette Club in addition to the usual aircraft-focused activities. Visitors can talk to pilots and car owners and even climb into select cars and airplanes! Watch the sky as aircraft arrive and depart from the tarmac. The event will be held at the Exploration of Flight (Centennial Airport) from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday.

PRO Tip: Enjoy the Cooper’s Coffee and Wafflerita food trucks, which will be onsite for food and beverage purchases during the event. 

Historic Elitch Theatre Family Film Series: Coco

Get the family together for a free afternoon screening of Coco at the Historic Elitch Theatre this Sunday! The movie is set to begin at 2:00 PM at this historic venue, with pre-show festivities kicking off an hour earlier. Families can enjoy face painting and a special Ballet Folklórico performance that’s intended to pay homage to the film’s vibrant Mexican culture. Whether you’ve seen the film a dozen times or if this will be your first viewing, viewers of all ages will love Miguel’s musical journey through the Land of the Dead. This screening is part of the theatre’s 2026 Summer Film Series, which has brought a series of classic and family-friendly movies to this 19th-century theatre.

Grandparents Day Workshop

Celebrate Grandparents Day at the Butterfly Pavilion this Sunday! Beginning at 10:00 AM, children and their grandparents will have the special opportunity to craft a keepsake together. During the workshop, participants can create an 8-inch solar mason jar lantern that’s adorned with pressed flowers and soft fairy lights. Each lantern will include a solar-powered lid, a hanging handle and decorations. Take home your special Grandparents Day craft and enjoy it long after the workshop ends. After the workshop, stick around and explore the Butterfly Pavilion’s immersive exhibits as you learn more about the fascinating world of butterflies.
