The Mile High City is featuring a diverse range of weekend events, including professional sporting matches, a film festival, the annual March Powwow, spring art walks and so much more! 

2026 Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival

Where? 2510 East Colfax Avenue
When? March 20th-22nd

The Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival is Colorado’s only Asian and Asian American Film Festival and it’s returning in person at the Sie FilmCenter for 2026! Presented in partnership with the Colorado Dragon Boat, the film fest will feature screenings, community conversations and a range of special events. View the schedule here, including this year’s packed lineup with titles such as A Chip Odyssey, Centerpiece: Climbing for Life, Forge and more. Additional activities throughout the weekend include the Cultural Corner Marketplace, an Emerging Artists Showcase, and a Local Short Films Showcase. 

PRO Tip: Purchase passes here. For Denver Film Members, tickets are $75. Non-members pay an additional $10 for access to all screenings, opening night reception, closing night reception, and more. 

50th Annual Denver March Powwow 

Where? 4600 Humboldt Street 
When? March 20th-22nd

It’s almost time to celebrate five decades of Denver’s annual Powwow! This Friday through Sunday, you won’t want to miss out on the magic of Denver’s March Powwow, which highlights the heritage of American Indians at one of the largest events of its kind in the country. With over 1,600 dancers from close to 100 tribes from 38 states and 3 Canadian provinces, this is truly a unique celebration. The three-day event will be packed with singing, dancing, storytelling, food and art. If you’ve never attended, each session begins with the colorful and stirring Grand Entry. The event kicks off with the HeartBeat drum circle that sings the committee’s song, “A Living Hoop.”

PRO Tip: Check out the 2026 Denver March Powwow Workshop held at the Denver Coliseum on March 19th from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Denver Nuggets Home Games

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? March 20th & 22nd

This Friday and Sunday, the Denver Nuggets have home games against the Toronto Raptors and the Portland Trail Blazers, respectively. Catch both games or choose one and cheer on the home team as they protect their court. Friday’s game is scheduled for 7:00 PM and Sunday’s game is set for 3:00 PM, giving fans an earlier tip off time so they can get ready for the week ahead. Tickets are still on sale for both games, so grab yours ASAP and invite your friends to hang out, enjoy some concessions and watch as the stars hit three pointers all game. 

PRO Tip: Want to listen to the Nuggets game? Tune your personal radio to 95.1 FM while at Ball Arena during games to hear the radio broadcast as well. 

Kellerbier Saturday

Where? 2875 Blake Street
When? March 21st

On the third Saturday of the month, don’t miss Kellerbier Saturday at Bierstadt Lager. This monthly recurring event allows attendees and craft brew enthusiasts to get their lager served straight off the tanks by one of the brewers. Indulge in the refreshing taste of The Slow Pour Pils, which is unfiltered and straight off the tank. This in-person event is a unique opportunity for beer fans and aficionados alike to taste the next beer to be released in its untapped and unfiltered form. A bier purchase is required and you can snag your free tickets here. There’s a different bier every month, so stay tuned for additional releases throughout the year!

PRO Tip: Invite a friend or two to come down to the Lagerhaus this Saturday to experience the magic of the Kellerbier as it’s poured off the pigtail!

Colorado Mammoth vs. Calgary Roughnecks

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? March 21st

This Saturday, the Colorado Mammoth are taking on the Calgary Roughnecks at Ball Arena. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM and tickets are on sale for as low at $34. The team is an American professional box lacrosse team based out of Denver and competing in the National Lacrosse League. Since 2003, the team has called Ball Arena home and have gone to the playoffs in the #2 seed in the Western Division. If you’ve been interested in getting into pro lacrosse, grab your tickets and see what all the hype is about!

Denver Milk Market: Spring Art Walk

The Spring Art Walk will be held this Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Welcome the new season at Denver Milk Market, where you’ll be able to stroll through the market and discover dozens of vendors who have pulled out all the stops to celebrate the spring season. The event is free to attend, which gives you the perfect excuse to spend your evening shopping and supporting small businesses in Denver! Participating vendors this weekend include Anchor Creation, Kramer’s Knacks, Petra’s Pottery, Scrub Me Skin Care, Verbena Collective, Water Mountain Art and many more.

Writing in Color Fest

Where? 3844 York Street 
When? March 21st & 22nd

Join the fun at the Writing in Color Fest, which is an annual event designed for writers of color to be in community and thrive as they grow their writing skills. Through two-day cohorts, panels, and craft seminars, experienced faculty will work closely with attendees to support their writing process while they also connect with other BIPOC+ writers. The festival is open to writers of all genres and creatives who identify as black, indigenous or people of color. Participants are asked to be mindful of this intention. Presentations and activities throughout the weekend include two-day cohorts, craft seminars, panels and a Sip and Script with Back Lotus Apothecary on Sunday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Denver’s Spring Vibe Art Fair

Where? 3001 Walnut Street
When? March 21st & 22nd

This Saturday and Sunday, join the community at the Spring Vibe Art Fair. This is a free two-day event that’s set to feature 130+ artisans, makers and creatives each day. There will also be a female music creator, DJ CYN, as well as cocktail bars, food trucks, the Astro Coffee Van, Aura photos and an art gallery. This event is free to attend and there will be free neighborhood street parking. Bring the kids and Fido along, as well! The first 25 guests in line on both days will receive a free Vibe Swag Bag full of artist goods. 

PRO Tip: This weekend’s art fair will be held at The Arch in RiNo. There will be additional parking across the street in a paid lot if you can’t find free street parking. Well behaved animals are welcome. 

Grown Up Book Fair 

Where? 7101 East Colfax Avenue 
When? March 22nd

The Grown Up Book Fair with Second Star to the Right is a can’t-miss event this Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The fair will be held in collaboration with Fiction Beer Company + guest authors from Colorado Alliance of Latino Mentors & Authors. This is an exciting in-person event where great books meet amazing brews. Take a dive into a carefully curated selection of reads while sipping on some great craft beer. This is the perfect weekend activity for book lovers who love a good sip and a good story. 

PRO Tip: The event will have copies of the book, Ramas y Raices: The Best of CALMA! Grab a copy if you don’t already have one.

Plants, Yoga & Beer

Where? 2875 Blake Street 
When? March 22nd

Plants, Yoga and Beer is an immersive all-levels vinyasa-style yoga class led by experienced instructors. The class is open to all levels and is family-friendly! This is the perfect evening for the whole family or a friend or two. Plants, Yoga & Beer will be 1/2 guided forest bathing meditation with a new plant baby and 1/2 all levels vinyasa yoga flow. Attendees will step into the indoor forest oasis for a yoga experience unlike any other. After class, celebrate with a cold craft beer or a non-alcoholic option and stick around to socialize with your fellow yogis. 

PRO Tip: Grab your tickets here. The class will be held at Bierstadt Lagerhaus. Tickets include your very own plant baby to take home, as well as one house beer or N/A beverage and a 60-minute yoga and meditation experience. 

Audionauts: Step into the Story at Washington Park

Where? 701 South Franklin Street
When? March 22nd 

This Sunday, head on over to Washington Park for Audionauts! This club and social connection opportunity is designed for adults via the Denver Public Library’s free adult programming. Step into the Story at Washington Park from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a roaming audiobook adventure. Watch as stories and scenery drift together. The group will gather in a different park each time. Press play and let the landscape quietly shape the way the stories unfold before your eyes. The group will walk together as everyone listens to their own story. This shared journey is both collective and personal and pets are welcome to attend to trot alongside their owners. 

PRO Tip: Bring headphones, a current audiobook and a sense of curiosity! All walking paces are welcome. The group will meet at Picnic Area 3A and check-in begins at 9:30 AM, with the walk following a half hour later. 

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Kiddos of all ages will enjoy the range of events hosted by local libraries, such as the Afterschool Kids Connection with art projects, games and activities. Wings Over the Rockies is also excited to host another Cockpit Demo Day, where young aviators can explore cockpits up close. 

Afterschool Kids Connection

Where? 4856 Andes Court 
When? March 20th

The Green Valley Ranch Branch Library is hosting an Afterschool Kids Connection program this Friday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. End the school week with a trip to the local library, where the kids can dive into art projects, games and activities. This is the perfect opportunity to play, create and make new friends. There is no fee to attend and no reservation is required in advance. Simply swing by after school gets out and enjoy! The program is designed for children ages 5 to 12.

Cockpit Demo Day

Where? 7711 East Academy Boulevard 
When? March 21st 

Wings Over the Rockies is hosting another Cockpit Demo Day at the Air & Space Museum this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees will get an up close look inside of select aircraft at the museum while they learn about history, instruments, controls and more. The featured aircraft for March’s Cockpit Demo Day are the Velocity Airplane, Alexander Eaglerock Biplane, Alouette III Helicopter, the F-102 Delta Dagger and the T-33 Shooting Star. The helicopter will be wheelchair accessible.

PRO Tip: Featured aircraft are subject to change, though there’s always an awesome lineup for Cockpit Demo Days. Pre-purchase your tickets here. While not required, pre-purchasing may reduce wait time.
