Talia Tucker’s Musical Bingo: Late Night Edition

Mark your calendar for this Friday to catch Talia Tucker’s Musical Bingo at Bierstadt Lagerhaus! The Musical Bingo will be complete with prizes, music, and of course — lager aplenty. Audiences should prepare for a unique twist on the classic game of bingo and Talia Tucker will be flawlessly hosting all evening long. Jam out to your favorite tunes while you try to get a bingo and make sure to bring your friends along for the ride! This is a 21 and up event and the fun kicks off at 9:00 PM.

30th Anniversary Singalong Tribute to RENT

Are you ready for a night full of love, laughter, and lyrics? Join the Museum of Contemporary Art for a singalong tribute to RENT to celebrate the musical’s 30th anniversary. The 2005 hit musical drama film was directed by Chris Columbus based on an adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s 1996 Broadway musical of the same name. Having amassed plenty of fans over the years, Rent is a fan-favorite to sing along to! Richi Ramos will be the evening’s host from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The tribute will take place in the museum’s Holiday Theater and all ages are welcome to attend.

PRO Tip: Doors open at 6:00 PM and there is complimentary parking at the venue.

Karaoke at Western Sky Bar & Taproom

Where? 4361 South Broadway
When? March 21st

Western Sky Bar & Taproom hosts karaoke night at 7:00 PM every Friday until close in Englewood. There will be multiple rounds, so you can hit several songs if you’d like while enjoying 30+ craft beers on tap, as well as cocktails, wine, and snacks. The venue is 21 and up after 9:00 PM, so families with underage singers are encouraged to visit before the cut-off! Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. RSVP does not guarantee a sign-up for karaoke.

Colorado Anime Fest

The Colorado Anime Fest is returning to the Denver Marriott Tech Center for a three-day convention celebrating everything Japan! The fest is designed for fans of all ages, from children to adults. There is a wide array of activities, celebrity guests, and even an Anime Bar for visitors 21 and up. Guests of honor at this year’s Colorado Anime Fest include Brianna Knickerbocker, Caitlin Glass, Edward Bosco, Gil Asakawa, DJ KMKZ, Ricco Fajardo, and many more. All costumes and cosplaying should be rated PG-13 or under. Larger costumes must be able to fit through a standard doorway and props may not generate smoke or fog.

49th Annual Denver March Powwow

Where? 4600 North Humboldt Street
When? March 21st-23rd

The 49th Annual Denver Powwow will feature over 1,500 dancers from nearly 100 tribes across 38 states and 3 Canadian provinces! The three-day event will take place at the Denver Coliseum and is slated to be a drug and alcohol-free event. Admission is set at $7 per day or $20 for a three-day pass. Ages 6 and under are free. Ages 60+ receive a discounted rate of $3 per day or $9 for three days. The schedule includes storytelling, drum roll calls, royalty introductions, native author readings, and much more. There will be dance competitions throughout the day and night.

Denver Home Show

Book Swap @ Milk Market

If your idea of the perfect day includes relaxing with a good book and a coffee, then this book swap is the perfect event to add to your weekend itinerary! Join the Denver Book Swap Society this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a book swap. The rules are simple — you bring a book and swap it for another. As a bonus, you’ll be able to mingle and get to know other Denver readers. Leftover books will get circulated back into future events or donated to Little Free Libraries around the city. All book genres are welcome, so whether you love romance, history, thriller, mystery, memoirs, or something else entirely, it’s likely available! All ages are welcome at the swap.

PRO Tip: RSVPing is required and registration is priced at $5 per person. Bring at least one book to the swap or bring several! Attendees can grab up to four books to take home.

Repticon

Repticon will be held at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday, with hours scheduled from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and doors opening at 10:00 AM on Sunday. Exhibitors for this weekend’s show include CKP Reptiles, Ashes to Ashes, Denver Day Geckos, Enchanted Entomology, Sloan Reptiles, Wild Things Exotic Pets, and many more. See live reptiles up close at animal encounters and seminars or shop reptiles and exotic pets from top-quality breeders.

ArtBar: Pajaki Mobile

Four Mile Historic Park is passionate about preserving the Centennial State’s history and crafting new stories through exciting community events and educational programs. This Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, come on out to the park and participate in this ArtBar project. Welcome spring in Denver with Pajaki mobiles, which are traditional Polish paper chandeliers that are meant to symbolize joy, renewal and abundance. These mobiles are perfect for adding a burst of color and brightness to your atmosphere to honor the changing season.

Living Land: 2025 Resident Artist Exhibition

The Living Land: 2025 Resident Artists Exhibit runs through the end of the month at the RedLine Contemporary Art Center, so you only have one more weekend to catch it before it’s gone! The exhibit features 2024-2026 Resident Artists and 2022-2024 Resident Alumni and curation has been done by Jane Burke. Participating artists include Alex Branch, Nathan Hall, Leilani Derr, Ally Grimm, Devin Urioste, Kristina Maldonado Bad Hand and many more.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

LEGO Instruction-Less Speed Building Competition

You don’t have to be a certified Lego engineer builder to partake in this speed-building competition. Beginners are welcome, too! Enjoy the lively atmosphere as fellow builders embark on this Bounce Empire activity. Participants with a ticket will get a Lego set to build with (and that they can take home) and VIP options are available that include a goodie package. If you just want to watch, non-participants can opt for a watch and relax pass for $10 or a full park access pass for $29. Heats of 10 will race against each other to complete 90-200 piece Lego sets as quickly and accurately as possible (without instructions)! Winners will compete to win awesome prizes.

PRO Tip: Don’t miss the Lego characters that are roaming around the park, as well as the awesome sets on display!

Aviation Merit Badge Program

Where? 7711 East Academy Boulevard

Get the kids excited to earn an Aviation Merit Badge this Saturday at the Air & Space Museum! Learn all about aviation basics and plot your course for a flying adventure without ever leaving the ground. Participants will have the chance to build a glider from a foam plate and experience the Wings Over the Rockies Flight Simulator Room. The cost of the class is priced at $25 and kids are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Adults are welcome to sit in if space is available. They must pay the museum entry fee.

PRO Tip: Parents are asked to download the merit badge worksheet before class, which can be found here and to send a pen to class with their young aviator.

Life of Pi

When? Through March 30th

Life of Pi is coming to the Denver Center’s Buell Theatre this week and running through the end of the month. The performance has won three Tony Awards and the Olivier Award for Best Play. Life of Pi is based on a novel that sold over 15 million copies and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon! The epic story is one of perseverance and hope, which spans generations and captures audience members of all ages. From jaw-dropping visuals to impressive puppetry and stunning stagecraft, Life of Pi will take your family on a truly exhilarating journey. The show runs for 2 hours and 10 minutes, including an intermission.

PRO Tip: Life of Pi is recommended for ages 10 and up. The story contains some mature content and violence, such as scenes of animal ferocity, as well as smoke, haze, flashing lights and loud sounds throughout.
