This weekend in Denver, the annual Dog Fair is coming to the National Western Complex and PrideFest is in full swing! Lace up for the Pride 5K or celebrate on the 16th Street Mall. Catch a summer music series or take a stroll in Downtown Littleton as you sample wine and shop the evening away!

Denver Municipal Band Free Summer Concert

Where? 3301 West 46th Avenue 
When? June 26th

This Friday, take advantage of a free concert at Rocky Mountain Lake Park from 7:00 PM to 8:15 PM. Kick off the weekend on a musical note with the Denver Municipal Band. This free summer concert is sponsored by Council District 1 and the Berkeley Regis United Neighbors.  Since forming in 1861, the band has continued to bring culture to the community and help area youth develop a passion for music. These days, the band has developed a passion for bringing free concerts to some of Denver’s most beautiful parks. Not only does this make for an awesome evening event for local community members, it also helps provide musical opportunities for underprivileged communities. 

PRO Tip: Bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on for the concert and pack a picnic to enjoy at the park! 

Downtown Littleton Wine Walks

Where? 2409 West Main 
When? June 26th

The Littleton Merchants Association is bringing Downtown Littleton Wine Walks to the community this summer! Take a stroll through participating businesses as you enjoy curated wine tastings and explore everything that the vibrant downtown area has to offer. Check in on the sidewalk outside of Denver Beer Co to receive your wine glass, wristband and an event map. Wristbands include 10 tasting tabs. Participating businesses include Juniperseed Mercantile, J Claire Women’s Fashion, True Find Boutique, Savory Spice, Central Bank, Records on Main and many more. Grab a friend or two and shop, sip and discover something new in Littleton this weekend! 

PRO Tip: All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. A valid government-issued photo ID will be required. There will also be a waiver requirement to participate. 

Summer Music Series: Ben Coleman 

Where? 1250 Bannock Street
When? June 26th

Check out the Summer Music Series at Clyfford Still Museum this Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Pack a picnic and enjoy a live DJ performance by Ben Coleman as you kick off your weekend plans and unwind from the week. The performance will be held on the museum’s outdoor forecourt and additional performances will be held on the final Friday of July and August to showcase a diverse array of musical talent. Before, during, or after the show, make sure to step inside and explore the multi sensory exhibition: Still in Sound. Coleman is the co-curator of the exhibition! 

PRO Tip: These are free, family-friendly events that encourage attendees to mingle, hang out, wiggle and dance. Registration is not required. There will be a limited number of chairs available, so come early and grab your spot. 

2026 Denver Dog Fair

Where? 4655 Humboldt Street 
When? June 27th

The Denver Dog Fair is coming to the National Western Complex this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Organizers expect 150+ adoptable puppies and dogs to be onsite, so whether you’re looking for a new best friend or you just want to support this awesome event — everyone is welcome! Tickets are on sale now, starting at $20 admission for adults and $5 for dog tickets! Kids ages 5 and younger get in free. Tickets include all entertainment and activities, excluding food and adoption fees. The activity lineup includes the Doggy Derby, breed meet-and-greets, a puppy kissing booth, celebrity dogs and the new Stumpy 5000 Bulldog Derby! If you’re bringing your pup, ensure that they’re leashed and contained at all times. Two dogs are allowed per human.

Pride 5K

Where? 1900 East 11th Avenue 
When? June 27th

The Pride 5K will take place this Saturday at Cheesman Park Pavilion beginning at 9:00 AM. Registration is priced at $50, so get ready to walk, run, roll, or sashay with 4,000+ participants for a morning of movement, joy and belonging. Every mile is a celebration of Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community and every dollar raised helps to support The Center on Colfax programs and resources that help the community thrive. Registration on Saturday begins at 7:30 AM, so get an early start and stretch out before the run/walk. 

PRO Tip: Thanks to the incredible efforts last year, Denver Pride 5K raised over $240,000. This year, the race has already surpassed $130,000, so help keep the momentum going!

Troutfest Colorado

Where? 2001 Blake Street
When? June 27th

Troutfest Colorado is coming to Coors Field this Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is presented by the Colorado Wildlife Council and Colorado Trout Unlimited and offers a one of a kind summer festival and celebration of community, conservation and education. Spend the day at the ballpark with the family and other anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and new friends from across the state. In past years, Troutfest has featured casting clinics, fly tying demonstrations, interactive conservation and education booths, youth activities and more.

PRO Tip: If you’ve ever been interested in learning more about conservation and fly fishing, then check out Troutfest! The event is free and open to the public.

Denver Cherry Blossom Festival

Where? 20th and Lawrence Streets
When? June 27th & 28th

The Denver Cherry Blossom Festival returns for another year this Saturday and Sunday! Whether you’re a fan of taiko drumming, teriyaki chicken, sake or Japanese artwork and wares, you won’t want to miss this popular annual event now in its 52nd year. Celebrate all things Japanese heritage and culture through live performances, food and drinks and a marketplace and demos. Adults can cool off with a refreshing craft beer and families will enjoy the popular teriyaki chicken plate lunch and delicious Japanese sweets. Kezurou-kai USA will be doing a hands-on demonstration of traditional Japanese carpentry, so go check them out under the Tri-State/Denver Buddhist Temple in the dining area. 

PRO Tip: Saturday’s schedule kicks off at 11:00 AM and runs through 6:00 PM. Sunday opens at the same time but closes two hours earlier at 4:00 PM to wrap the weekend. Admission is free! 

2026 Denver PrideFest

Where? 16th Street from Broadway to Arapahoe 
When? June 28th

Same Pride but in a new place this year due to ongoing construction at Civic Center Park! Denver PrideFest is taking over the 16th Street Mall from Broadway to Arapahoe this Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. With the move downtown, attendees can still expect all the Pride classics they know and love, such as the Latin Stage, the Gayborhood and the youth and family area. Admission is free and attendees can enjoy 250+ exhibitors, 30 food vendors and multiple stages of entertainment.

PRO Tip: Check out ongoing events for Pride 2026 here, including dance parties, parades, DJ sets, and more. You can also check out this lineup of queer-affirming spaces across the Mile High City and make an impact with your check through the remainder of June.

Bierstadt Bazaar

Where? 2875 Blake Street
When? June 28th

Bierstadt Lagerhaus is hosting a Bazaar this weekend, complete with local crafts, tasty treats and awesome finds. This monthly celebration is situated in the heart of the RiNo Arts District in one of the city’s most renowned Lagerhauses. Expect to find a rotating selection of Denver’s finest artisans selling goods and wares ranging from hand-poured candles, apothecary finds, unique jewelry, vintage items and original artwork. Of course, you can also expect world-class beer. Sip on a cold, crisp lager as you shop and peruse the stalls. There will also be live local music to keep the energy high and the vibes unmatched. If you’re feeling peckish, enjoy Bierstadt’s own traditional German fare or check out the guest food trucks and snack vendors onsite. 

PRO Tip: Admission is free and the bazaar is open to all ages, including furry friends on the patio! The event will run from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Upcoming Bazaar dates include July 12th & 26th.

CO150 Film Festival

Where? 15 Participating Locations across Colorado
When? Multiple screenings each week (through October 31st)

The CO150 Film Festival is a statewide fest created to honor 150 years of Colorado history through timeless cinema. This summer, catch 150 screenings of the best Centennial State films throughout history in theaters across the state. This is a community-powered collection of films that have shaped, inspired and entertained generations of Coloradans. Check out the top 150 here. From beloved classics to contemporary gems, each and every screening has been handpicked for maximum movie magic for fans of all ages.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Get outside and enjoy a movie in the park with the family this Friday or swing by the Denver Botanic Gardens to celebrate Big Day of Bugs! However you kick off your weekend, make some memories this summer.

Big Day of Bugs

Come on out for the grand finale of Pollinator Month with the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Colorado Pollinator Network this Friday! Enjoy activities centered on the importance of pollinators and biodiversity with the family while you explore the gardens with an experienced guide. Learn from 20+ community partners such as the Audubon Society, Butterfly Pavilion and more and visit a Science Chat about pollination in the Science Pyramid and Oak Grove. The best news? All of this and then some is included with admission to the Denver Botanic Gardens from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additional activities will be held in the School of Botanical Art & Illustration and the Kathryn Kalmbach Herbaria of Vascular Plants.

Movies on the Green: Princess Bride

The outdoor movie series at Central Park kicks off this Friday with a screening of The Princess Bride. The community is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets and relax on the green with friends, family and neighbors during this summer tradition. Showtimes begin at dusk and are held on Fridays throughout the season, with upcoming dates scheduled for July 10th, July 24th, August 14th and September 4th. Catch films such as Zooptopia 2, National Treasure, Shrek, and Wicked: For Good! There will be a concession stand with freshly popped popcorn, candy, sodas and bottled water available for purchase. 

PRO Tip: Food trucks can often be found parked at Movies on the Green, so grab some snacks or a late dinner and enjoy.

Movies in the Park: The SpongeBob Movie 

Where? 6933 North Raleigh Street
When? June 26th

Nothing says summertime like a movie in the park! Kick off the season by watching your favorite movies on a giant outdoor screen at Westminster High School. This Friday at 7:00 PM, bring the family out and enjoy live music, pre-show activities and concessions. The movie will begin at dusk, so make sure to arrive early and scope out a spot in the park with a good view. This event is presented by Intermountain Health, with support from Central Bank and Yogurt Brothers. Join SpongeBob and friends as they set out on an adventure across Bikini Bottom! 

PRO Tip: Admission is free for the movie! Invite your friends and family and enjoy a relaxed evening in the park. The next Movies in the Park will be on July 17th at Amherst Park (Bad Guys 2).
