UllrGrass Beer Festival

The UllrGrass Beer Festival will take place this Saturday in Parfet Park in downtown Golden. Attendees will enjoy brewers and cideries from across the state and beyond and can sample libations of all varieties. Beer festival tickets include access to the main stage in the park from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with unlimited 3-ounce samples from over 30 breweries from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Tickets also include a commemorative tasting cup. Participating cideries and breweries at this year’s festival include Evergreen Brewery, Comet Brews, Seedstock Brewery, Slaymaker Cellars, Wibby Brewing, and many more.

PRO Tip: Sunday is a family day with baby goats and kids activities, so make it an afternoon outing that the kids will love! Friday and Saturday will feature concerts under the big top tent from Rolling Harvest, Great American Taxi, Coral Creek, Broken Compass Bluegrass, Easy Tiger, and many more.

Colorado Ballet: Casanova

Indulge in the scandalous allure of Giacomo Casanova’s legendary escapades in Kenneth Tindall’s new ballet — Casanova. Enjoy a Rocky Mountain regional premiere of Casanova as audiences explore the decadent proclivities of the infamous, fabled romantic through bold choreography, iconic Venetian masquerades, and a passionate narrative set to the music of Kerry Muzzey. The performance may contain mature content, so audience discretion is advised.

PRO Tip: The ballet will be performed at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House with live music featuring the Colorado Ballet Orchestra. Performances kick off on Friday, January 31st at 7:30 PM. There will be two shows on Saturday, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and one on Sunday at 2:00 PM.

Colorado Avalanche Home Games

The Colorado Avalanche have two home games this weekend, with a face-off against the St. Louis Blues on Friday and one against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. Friday’s game is scheduled for 7:00 PM and Sunday’s puck drops at 1:00 PM. Watching an Avalanche game is fun for the whole family, as well as for avid fans and newcomers to hockey alike. The energy at Ball Arena is sure to be electric, so come on out and support the home guys!

PRO Tip: Ball Arena parking lots open 3 hours before the start of events, so arrive early and hang out with your fellow fans in the parking lot or get to the arena when doors open an hour before puck drop.

Comedian Brian Regan is coming to Denver’s Paramount Theatre this Friday, with an 8:00 PM showtime. This American stand-up is known for his observational, sarcastic, and self-deprecating humor. Regan has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country, providing audiences with a refreshing balance of sophisticated writing and physicality. Described as “your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian,” Regan has enjoyed a 30+ year career and continues to delight audiences on the strength of his material alone. His tours cover some of the most beautiful venues across North America and he travels to nearly 100 cities each year!

A Symphonic Tribute to Mel Brooks

Mel Brooks is a comedy icon who’s left an indelible imprint on both film and stage, often with an assist from his longtime musical collaborator — composer John Morris. This symphonic tribute to Brooks brings performances from Morris’ score of films including Blazing Saddles as well as more recent music from the Broadway adaptations of The Producers and Young Frankenstein. Saturday’s Symphonic Tribute is scheduled for 7:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now ranging from $15 to $115, plus taxes and fees. These prices may increase as the concert date approaches.

PRO Tip: Accessible seating is located in Orchestra 2, Dress Circle 1, and Mezzanine 7. Doors open one hour before each performance, so arrive early to find parking and to get settled into your seats!

ArtBar 2025 — Valentine Keepsake Cigar Box

Crafters will give an old cigar box new life as they transform it into a beautiful keepsake box with just a few creative touches. Chili Cook-Off

You won’t want to miss The Denver Barbarians Chili Inaugural 2025 Cook-Off this weekend at Bierstadt Lagerhaus! The chili cook-off is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with doors at 12:30 PM. This is a 21 and up event and there will be free venue parking. Whether you’re a part of the rugby, chili, or Denver community (or all three), this is a fun way to watch a head-to-head competition that determines who the chili master chef of 2025 is. Don’t want to make chili? No problem! Enjoy samples and judge the competition, enjoy drinks, listen to music, and play games! General admission entry is priced at $25, which includes a chili judge sheet and a drink ticket.

PRO Tip: If you plan on entering a chili into the competition, the fee is $15. All chili cooks must bring their slow cooker or a serving receptacle and a serving utensil. Competitors must arrive by 12:30 PM, name their chili, and bring an ingredient list for those with dietary restrictions.

Super Bowl 5K

The Super Bowl 5K is going down this Sunday at Denver’s Washington Park. The run/walk kicks off in the morning, featuring a 40-yard dash competition, a free kids 200-meter dash, and a Super Bowl prediction contest. Other fun festivities and activities include a fan costume contest, so don’t forget to dress in your craziest football fan gear. Participants of the Super Bowl 5K will receive a crossbody fanny pack to commemorate the event. Make sure to check out the tailgate zone and don’t miss the special appearance by TD Run, the MVP mascot!

PRO Tip: Registration and packet pickup opens at 8:00 AM and the kid’s fun run begins at 8:40 AM. The 5K itself starts at 9:00 AM, with awards and the costume contest occurring an hour later.

PAW Patrol is on a roll with their “Heroes Unite” tour, coming to Denver’s Bellco Theatre this Saturday and Sunday for two days only! The performance is approximately 90 minutes long, including a 15-minute intermission. Doors open one hour before showtime and family-friendly costumes are permitted. Both days will feature two performances, one in the early afternoon and a second in the late afternoon. A separate ticket is required if you’d like to visit the planetarium or the brand-new Infinity Theatre. Visitors of all ages will enjoy perusing the discoveries that are waiting to be made at the museum, such as the hidden elves in the background murals of wildlife dioramas painted by Kent Pendleton!

Downtown Denver Rink

Take advantage of the final weekend to skate at the Downtown Denver Rink! Hours for the rink on Friday and Saturday are scheduled from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM and the rink is open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. Closing weekend festivities include Valentine’s Day additions, such as a free rose for the first 100 guests. Skate with your special someone or your closest friends while you soak in the love-soaked atmosphere. Ice rink admission is free. Skaters are welcome to bring their skates or rent some at the rink.

PRO Tip: Skate rentals are priced at $12 for adults and $9 for kids ages 12 and under. Military and first responders receive a discounted rate of $8. Skate aid rentals are also available.
