Denver Jewish Film Festival

2026 marks the 30th annual Denver Jewish Film Festival, which is kicking off this Thursday at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. Come on out and celebrate three decades of powerful Jewish storytelling, community and culture. This year’s fest will showcase an exciting lineup of 40 films from across the globe, all written or directed by Jewish people or with a connection to Jewish culture, identity, history or contemporary issues. For two inspiring weeks, audiences can gather to be captivated as they watch, discuss, and experience stories designed to challenge and bring people together. On Sunday at 6:30 PM, catch the screening of Elie Wiesel, Soul on Fire with a Fred and Audrey Friedman Marcus Holocaust Lecture with the University of Denver.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Philadelphia Flyers

The Colorado Avalanche is facing off against the Philadelphia Flyers this Friday at Ball Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM, so get there early to find your seats and grab a tasty bite to eat from a variety of diverse concession options. Check out the fan-friendly menu, featuring $5 options that won’t break the bank. Pick up popcorn, fries, a hot dog or even a jumbo pretzel for a discounted price outside of sections 112 and 319. You can also spot participating stands by looking for the yellow sun logo. Fans can also snag $10 twenty ounce domestic drafts.

Yoga at the Downtown Aquarium

What beats a yoga and aquarium combo? Not much! Check out an hour long all levels vinyasa style yoga class at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver this weekend. Aquarium admission is included (a $30 value!), so stay after class and explore the exhibits. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids along for this exciting opportunity to view the shark tank from a yoga mat. All ages are welcome. Saturday’s class is scheduled from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, which is the perfect opportunity to get a jump on the weekend crowds and enjoy a quiet escape. Bring along a yoga mat and water bottle, as well as comfortable attire. There will be limited mats available for those who don’t have one of their own.

Fourth Saturday Artisan Craft & Art Walk

Elevate Vendor Events is hosting a Fourth Saturday Artisan Craft & Art Walk at Junction Food & Drink this Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitors can shop local makers and artists on every Fourth Saturday at an exciting evening market. Whether you’re in the market for handmade goods, art, gifts or any array of specialty items, you’ll find all that and then some. Enjoy a relaxed evening out with friends or a casual date night with a special someone. This is a great opportunity to support small businesses while you soak in the laid back community atmosphere.

Colorado Mammoth vs. Oshawa FireWolves

This Saturday, the Colorado Mammoth are competing against the Oshawa FireWolves at Ball Arena. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM and tickets are on sale now, with options starting in the $30s. If you’re new to lacrosse, the Mammoth are an American professional box lacrosse team based in Denver. The team competes as part of the National Lacrosse League and has called Ball Arena (the “loud house”) home since 2003! The team has most recently won the NLL Cup in 2022 and competes from December to April, followed by playoffs. Games are fast-paced and the team does a lot to support youth lacrosse and adaptive sports in the metro area. 

PRO Tip: Upcoming themed games are scheduled for February 14th (Valentine’s Day) and March 7th (Marvel Super Hero Night), so mark your calendar now!

2026 Denver Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival

This Saturday’s Winter Whiskey Tasting event will be held at Rhein Haus Denver, hosted by Social Scene. If you’re a whiskey lover in the Mile High City, this event is a must to experience rare pours, bold flavors and one-of-a-kind spirits! When you grab your tickets, you can choose a time slot to enjoy craft, small-batch and world-class varieties of whiskey. Experts will be onsite to share insights and tasting notes as you sample. The event will feature a live DJ, tasty bites, and chances to win future event tickets to continue your whiskey journey. Tickets to the Denver Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival are going fast, so grab yours ASAP if you’re interested in attending! Attendance is capped at 299 people.

Winterfest is scheduled for this Sunday at 11:30 AM in McGregor Square. The event is presented by UCHealth and will feature an afternoon full of fun, festivities and of course, Avalanche hockey! Cheer on the team as they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in Canada. The game will be broadcasted live on the big screen and there will be complimentary skate rentals for those who want to tackle the ice themselves. Additional Winterfest fun includes a caricature artist and special guest appearances by Ice Patrol, Bernie and more. Even if you don’t typically attend home games at Ball Arena, this is a great way to enjoy the atmosphere of a group of dedicated Aves fans!

PRO Tip: Swing by Milepost Zero to grab a draft beer or a snack while you cheer on the Aves! 

PWHL Takeover Tour: Vancouver vs. Seattle

When? January 25th

Don’t miss out on the PWHL Takeover Tour at Ball Arena this Sunday at 4:00 PM. The Vancouver Goldeneyes will be taking on the Seattle Torrent at this exciting matchup where fans will have a chance to see their favorite teams in action. Doors open at 3:00 PM. In total, the expanded Takeover Tour for the 2025-2026 season will feature 16 neutral-site games in cities such as Dallas, Chicago, Detroit and of course, Denver. On the last tour, the Professional Women’s Hockey League boosted their new fan engagement and set record-breaking crowds while successfully expanding the league’s reach beyond home markets. Come see what all the hype is about at Ball Arena this weekend!

2026 Colorado Cowboy Gathering

Be a part of history at the Colorado Cowboy Gathering at the National Western Stock Show. The gathering will proudly ride into an inaugural partnership with the show for a one-of-a-kind celebration of cowboy poetry, Western music and storytelling. On Sunday, the event will begin at 10:00 AM with an entertaining talent show, followed by award-winning headliners Kristyn Harris and Dave Stamey. Free bleacher seating is included in a general admission ticket to the Stock Show. Come on out and watch the spirit of the West on one of Denver’s most iconic stages! 

PRO Tip: Guests attending the Colorado Cowboy Gathering should arrive at the east end of the Hall of Education, which is also a ride share drop off point. VIP seating tickets are limited.

Guests will enjoy free admission at the museum all day, so bring the whole family out for a day of discovery, imagination and space exploration! Whether you’re a fan of all things aviation or you’re curious to learn more, Saturday’s free admission is the prime time to get an up-close look inside of the cockpits on select aircraft. This is a rare chance to see firsthand how pilots experience flight! 

PRO Tip: While you’re visiting the museum, be sure to explore the restored Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23MLD Flogger. This powerful Cold War-era jet is known for its innovation and speed during that period!

Rockies Fest

Missing Rockies baseball? You’re in luck! This Saturday, make plans to attend Rockies Fest at Coors Field. The fest will feature player/coach autograph sessions, as well as Q&A sessions and behind-the-scenes fan experiences and kids activities. Guests can also explore the facilities on a self-guided tour with access to the home and visiting clubhouses, press club, broadcast booths and the grounds crew workshop (new for 2026)! Tickets to Rockies Fest are priced at $10 for ages 3+, with public access from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM through gates A, C and E. Season ticket holders will receive discounted admission tickets. Admission tickets don’t cover parking fees or tickets to the autograph session.

PRO Tip: Additional festivities at Rockies Fest include a garage sale, a baseball card show and Rockies Family Feud! All proceeds from the event will go towards benefitting the Colorado Rockies Foundation. 

Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience

Where? 3900 Elati Street
When? Through March 29th

Get ready to experience prehistoric times like never before! Dinos Alive is an immersive exhibition featuring life-size animated replicas. Guests can walk alongside these massive creatures that roamed the world millions of years ago. Whether you’re eager to meet the Stegosaurus, Velociraptor or the mighty T-rex, they’re all waiting on you! Visitors will also love the one-of-a-kind experience of diving into the depths of the oceans and interacting with the sea giants in the virtual aquarium. 

PRO Tip: Visitors can expect their Dinos Alive adventure to take anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes. The experience is located at the Exhibition Hub Art Center in Denver. Children under three can get in free!
