This weekend is jam packed with all of your favorite Denver sports teams. The Nuggets, Mammoth, Rapids, and Avalanche all have home games this weekend, so don’t miss your favorite team in action!

Colorado Mammoth vs. San Diego Seals

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? February 27th

The Colorado Mammoth are facing off against the San Diego Seals this Friday at Ball Area. The team plays professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League. Based out of Denver, the Mammoth play their home games in Ball Arena and have won two NLL championships (2006 and 2022). The team is backed by strong fan support, so come on out and cheer them on! Whether you’ve been a fan for some time or this will be your first ever lacrosse game, it’s a good time for everyone. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM, so make sure you’re in your seats with the good snacks before the action begins! Tickets are starting in the low to mid $30s, so invite a few friends or take the whole family for an evening of lacrosse fun!

Nuggets Official Viewing Party

Where? 2015 Market Street
When? February 27th

Join Viewhouse Ballpark in cheering on the Nuggets as they take on OKC this Friday. The event kicks off from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM and the official viewing party will be presented by Kendall-Jackson. Enjoy the big screens and game-day vibes. Elevate your watch party experience with featured wines, food and drink specials, as well as an energetic crowd of basketball fans that are ready to cheer for every bucket and buzzer-beater. Whether you’re a fan of the rivalry or just the vibes, ViewHouse Ballpark is the place to be on game day! Don’t forget to wear your Nuggets gear.

Open Mic Night

Where? 7101 East Colfax Avenue
When? February 27th

Open Mic Night is scheduled for this Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Whether you’re a musician, a poet, a comedian or another type of entertainer, you’re welcome to take the stage this weekend! Open Mic Night is open to all styles and all ages so long as the content is radio appropriate. The evening will be hosted by local musicians and friends of Fiction Beer, Tess Halonen and Colin Farnsworth. Performers will each receive a free beer! 

PRO Tip: To read up on how Open Mic Night works and how to sign up, check here. Organizers provide 2 microphones, 2 mic stands, 2 instrument cables, and the house sound system. Other than that, bring what you need (with the exception of amplifiers and drum kits). 

15 Years of Beer, Bacon, & Coffee

Where? Various Taprooms 
When? February 28th

This Saturday, head to a Denver Beer Co. near you for 15 Years of Beer, Bacon, and Coffee. Hailing as Colorado’s favorite breakfast beer festival, the fest is back for some serious fun. Roll out of bed and head to your local taproom for unlimited specialty beers, bacon and coffee from local Denver favorites at all five Denver Beer Co. locations. Tickets include access to curated breakfast bites, great vibes and of course, the ultimate excuse to start your day with a cold brew. Whether you’ve been attending for 15 years or if this will be your first festival, raise a pint to celebrate! This year’s presenting sponsors include Huckleberry Roasters and Voodoo Doughnuts. 

PRO Tip: Regular GA tickets include unlimited specialty beers, bacon, coffee and a 16oz coffee mug for guests ages 21+. There will also be designated driver tickets available that sub specialty beers for N/A products.  

Arvada Winterfest

Where? 5726 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard 
When? February 28th

Arvada Winterfest is the city’s free multicultural winter celebration. This is a free, family-friendly event designed to showcase the diverse cultures and traditions that call Arvada home. Since beginning in 2018, Winterfest has quickly become a popular community event. This Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Olde Town Arvada Square, enjoy a range of free activities and performances suitable for all ages. Attendees can expect live interactive cultural performances and demonstrations, as well as live ice sculpting, and craft vendors and food trucks. The performance schedule will kick off with an interactive African drum demonstration from 11:45 AM To 12:35 PM, followed by a mariachi performance, a dragon and lion dance, Brazilian samba dancing and much more. 

PRO Tip: Looking to get involved? Arvada Winterfest relies on volunteers to help ensure the event runs safely and smoothly. Shifts are available starting at 7:30 AM for set up and run through 5:30 PM for teardown. 

Colorado Rapids vs. Portland Timbers

Where? 6000 Victory Way 
When? February 28th

The Rapids take on the Timbers this Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in nearby Commerce City. The match is scheduled for 2:30 PM, so you can bring the whole family out and not worry about getting home past bedtime. With the season just kicking off, this is the perfect time to become a fan or to secure your multi-game season passes. The MLS season runs through October/November, which means you have plenty of great soccer left throughout the year.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks

When? February 28th 

The Avalanche are playing the Blackhawks at Ball Arena this Saturday, with puck drop at 4:00 PM. Both teams will be welcoming back returning Olympic players, making this a great game to catch the stars back in action. Saturday will also be Black Excellence Night. Join in on celebrating the community and purchase a themed ticket package, which includes a ticket and an exclusive Black History hat to commemorate the event. 

PRO Tip: Tickets to Saturday’s game are starting in the mid $100s. Grab a solo seat or invite some friends to cheer on the Avalanche as they take the ice and defend their home rink. 

Cohesion Seed Swap

Where? 3851 Steele Street, Unit 1388
When? March 1st

Cohesion Brewing Co. is excited to host this Sunday’s Seed Swap event. With spring just around the corner, it’s time to start getting some seeds ready for gardening season. There will be a variety of seeds provided to take home but attendees are encouraged to also bring their own to share with others. Anyone who brings in some seeds will receive $1 off of a beer. Sounds like a deal, right? Nothing beats a cold beer and some springtime gardening plans. Take home bags will be provided. Invite a friend or two or swing by while you’re out running Sunday errands. 

PRO Tip: There are no tickets or fees associated with this event. Enjoy brews on draught, which include dark lagers, Czech beer-styles, and even guest taps!

Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Catch the Nuggets this weekend as they face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Ball Arena. The game is scheduled for 1:30 PM, meaning you’ll be home with plenty of time for dinner! Grab an afternoon brew at concessions or load up on popcorn and game day snacks. Tickets are starting in the mid $80s, with some great court views still available. Whether you’re a diehard basketball fan or if this will be your first NBA game, it’s sure to be exciting! Cheer extra loud for the home team, including MVP center Nikola Jokić and star guard Jamal Murray as they take the court this Sunday.

That Dam Run 5K, 10K, Half Marathon

Where? Dam Road 
When? March 1st

Choose your distance and get ready for a damn good time this Sunday at the Cherry Creek Dam! From a 5K, 10K or 13.1 mile route, there’s something for everyone. That Dam Run is part of the RunDenver Series and will kick off at 7:00 AM with registration and packet pickup. The 13.1 mile race will start at 8:00 AM, followed by the 10K at 8:30 AM and the 5K at 8:45 AM. Race highlights will include That Dam Run short sleeve shirt or racerback tank top, free photos with Justin Beaver, a free kids 200 meter fun run, refreshments, and a post-race celebration with event and series awards. 

PRO Tip: Parking will be available at Campus Middle School & Cherry Creek High School. The 13.1 mile race will have a three and a half hour course limit, which works out to a 16 minute per mile pace. Use promo code “CRUSH” for $5 off!

Comfort and Comedy Festival

Bringing two weeks of national comedic acts, local improv, stand-up, workshops and warmth to Downtown Golden, you won’t want to miss out! This year’s participating venues include the Miners Alley Performing Arts Center, Buffalo Rose, The Golden Mill, and Gnarly’s. Headlining acts for the 2026 Comedy Festival include Josh Blue, Peter Juris, Buckets N Boards and many more. Astronomy Night

Where? 13005 Wings Way

Wings Over the Rockies is presenting an Astronomy Night this Saturday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Exploration of Flight at the Centennial Airport. Enjoy an evening of stargazing as attendees are invited to look up and explore the night sky on the tarmac. At the event, expect to learn more about the importance of Colorado’s dark skies and new insights into the North Star. Activities are designed for all ages and include standing on the flight ramp with the Denver Astronomical Society, using telescopes and astrophotography equipment and learning about ways to protect the night sky and why it matters. Kiddos will also love the hands-on constellation activities! 

PRO Tip: Tickets for Astronomy Night are priced at $19.95 for adults, with discounted rates offered for seniors, youth, military, veterans and first responders. Children 3 and under are free. The food truck Wafflerita will be onsite. Food is not included with admission.

8th Annual Petite Parade

Where? 1800 Wazee Street
When? March 1st

This Sunday, celebrate the 8th Annual Petite Parade coming to Dairy Block. Parade floats can be pushed or pulled down the alley, with guidelines laying out that floats must be of family-friendly content, must be on wheels and extra bonus points will be awarded for coordinating team costumes. There will be Petite Parade float prizes awarded for Most Original Float, Best Family Float, Funniest Float and Best Team Theme. This is a great way to enjoy the afternoon with family and the little ones will love seeing all of the colorful floats pass by! The parade is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

PRO Tip: The parade is free and open to the public. There will be additional festive entertainment such as live music, dancing and Mardi Gras festivities galore.
