Activities, Events, Shows, and More in Denver This Weekend

However you opt to commemorate the last days of 2025, just be sure to make them count! Catch a comedy show, take the stage at an open mic night or pair beer with cookies on a seasonal brewery tour.

Open Mic Night

Where? 7101 East Colfax Avenue 
When? December 26th

This Friday, swing by Fiction Beer Company for Open Mic Night from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM. What better way to kick off weekend plans than with the opportunity to take to the stage and share your talent for music, poetry, comedy or any other type of entertainment! Not a performer yourself? No problem! Come on out and support the local community anyway. This weekend, organizers are encouraging attendees to come dressed in their comfiest pajamas or a festive onesie. 

PRO Tip: Want to perform? Sign-up starts at 7:30 PM and will operate on a first come, first served basis. Performers will have 15 minutes total onstage, with microphones, stands and instrument cables provided. 

The Taylor Clay Quintet

Where? 1330 27th Street
When? December 26th

The Taylor Clay Quintet is taking the stage at the Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club this Friday for an evening of deeply swinging and gritty sounds. A longtime Nocturne favorite, the group is sure to be a hit this weekend and will feature two showtimes. Set one is scheduled from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM and set two will be from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to book in advance for Friday and Saturday evenings, so snag your tickets ASAP.

PRO Tip: Consider upgrading your seats with a Dinner and a Show Reservation, which includes the seasonal three course menu. There are also reserved bar seats and the “Ellington Experience,” which features a five course tasting menu with wine pairings. 

Ben Roy’s Ha-Ha Holiday Comedy Show

Where? 675 22nd Street
When? December 26th & 27th

Want to have a ha-ha good time this weekend? Check out Ben Roy’s Ha-Ha Holiday Comedy Show this Friday and Saturday, with two showtimes each evening at 7:30 PM and 9:45 PM. If you aren’t yet familiar with Roy, then you’re about to be in for a memorable ride. Ben Roy is hailed for his raw energy and razor-sharp humor, as well as a fiery stage presence that can’t be missed. As a Denver favorite, Roy first broke into the local scene at Comedy Works before going national on HBO, Comedy Central and more. Catch Roy as he brings the heat back to Denver Comedy Underground this holiday season.

PRO Tip: There is no two-item minimum in place at Denver Comedy Underground and guests can enjoy free pizza. It’s a win all around! 

The 5 Points Nutcracker: A Holiday Jazz Experience

Where? 2700 Arapahoe Street
When? December 26th-28th

Wave goodbye to the holiday season with a viewing of the 5 Points Nutcracker: A Holiday Jazz Experience. Hailed as a new twist on an old tradition, this performance at The Savoy Denver is one you won’t want to skip. There will be two showtimes daily at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, with doors opening a half hour before the posted start times. The 5 Points Nutcracker celebrates the cultural richness of 5 Points Denver, which is often dubbed as “The Harlem of the West” and is directed by Larea Edwards and choreographed by Constance Harris and Moon. Audiences will be enthralled by dazzling visuals and a vibrant interactive setting as they enjoy The Nutcracker like they’ve never seen it before.  

PRO Tip: The Savoy does not have a designated parking lot, so guests should plan to arrive early to secure street parking. The dress code invites you to come as you are or to dress up with dapper holiday attire! 

New Years Pawty @ Skiptown

Celebrate the Howl-idays at Skiptown all December long. Every Saturday throughout the month there will be festive fun, seasonal activities and a cozy Bar & Park vibe. Bring the pups along and don your best ugly sweater while you enjoy sweet treats, holiday portraits and more. On the final Saturday of the year, wrap up the festive season with a New Years Pawty that’s sure to get Fido’s tail wagging. This pup-packed celebration will feature plenty of energy and lots of new friends. Skiptown Bar & Park is an off-leash, high-vibe space where the fun is unlimited for all four legged and two legged friends. 

PRO Tip: Members enter free and non-members can enjoy the fun with a day pass!

Colorado Mammoth vs. Georgia Swarm

The Colorado Mammoth are facing off against the Georgia Swarm this Saturday at Ball Arena. Whether you’re an avid lacrosse fan or you’ve never before seen a game, add this to your itinerary for the final weekend in 2025. The Mammoth are an American professional box lacrosse team based in Denver. The team competes in the National Lacrosse League and plays their home games at Ball Arena. Having achieved conference titles in 2022 and 2023, the team has been exciting to watch and Saturday’s game is a can’t-miss. 

PRO Tip: The game starts at 7:00 PM and tickets are priced as low as $35! Snag a few seats ASAP and invite some friends to watch this fast-paced sport in action.

Christmas Beer and Cookies

The second annual Christmas Beer and Cookies is a can’t-miss seasonal tour by the Denver Microbrew Tour. Attendees will sample 10+ beers across four breweries. Each group of brews will be paired with a delicious cookie at each stop. This guided stroll will take guests through Denver’s RiNo Arts District. Tickets are priced at $55 per person, which includes an array of beers, ciders and cookies. What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with brews and treats? Attendees will also receive a free Santa hat!

Sundays on Santa Fe

Sundays on Santa Fe are the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Participants of this free gallery crawl can slow down on the final Sunday of 2025 and explore Santa Fe. Take the time to peruse galleries, boutique shops and more from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Whether you’re familiar with the district or you’re wanting to take a deeper dive into what Santa Fe has to offer, this is the prime opportunity to explore at your own pace. Participating galleries and studios include Kashi Kari Gallery, Michael Warren Contemporary, Spectra Art Space, Renegade Brewing, Sync Gallery and many more. Mark your 2026 calendar by circling the last Sunday of every month so you never miss out!

PRO Tip: This is a free event and there is no official tour guide. Simply explore at your own leisurely pace and take your time as you admire artwork, meet artists and simply enjoy a relaxed community vibe that reminds you to slow down and connect.

Rainforest Yoga

Where? 6252 West 104th Avenue

Rainforest Yoga is an hour-long class designed to provide a nature-centric experience for those looking to rejuvenate both their mind and body. Held at the Butterfly Pavilion on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:45 AM to 8:45 AM and on Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, this yoga experience allows participants to connect with other enthusiasts in the community while they enjoy the exotic plants and beautiful butterflies. No matter your skill level,  Rainforest Yoga is excited to welcome you with open arms.

PRO Tip: Yoga classes are priced at $12 for members and $15 for non-members! Participants are required to bring their own mat and ideally a towel to place between the mat and floor, as sometimes the floor can be wet.

Family-Friendly Activities in Denver This Weekend

Candy Cane Course

Head on over to the Westfield Village Park this Saturday for the annual Candy Cane Course 5K/12K. This is a fun, Christmas-inspired event designed with the whole family in mind. Race day will include an array of fun and festivities, including awesome swag, free photos and delicious treats waiting at the finish line. In addition to the 5K and 12K, there will also be a 1 mile untimed course that includes an awesome finisher medal to commemorate the achievement! Kiddos will have a blast at the kid’s dash, which is specifically for ages 10 and under. 

PRO Tip: Spread the cheer this holiday season and donate a new, unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots at the Candy Cane Course event. 

Geoff Tice Family Show

Geoff Tice is coming to Comedy Works South this Sunday for an all ages Family Show! Oftentimes, comedy shows are an adult-only event. This weekend, younger attendees will have a unique opportunity to enjoy an exciting experience. Geoff Tice is known for his energetic style of stand-up comedy and his hit children’s book titled “The Eleven Evelyns.” Tice is also the co-host of the Grid Penalty podcast, which is geared towards Formula 1 fans.

PRO Tip: There is a two-item minimum at Comedy Works. Guests should be on time. Arriving more than 30 minutes after the show’s scheduled start means tickets will be subject to cancellation without refund. 

Mile High Drone Show

It’s nearing the end of the holiday season, which means it’s almost time to say goodbye to the Mile High Drone Show. Watch the skies as the Denver skyline comes alive with 600 drones. The airborne drones will create holiday-themed animations at 7:00 PM each night through the end of the month. This isn’t just your typical display, it’s a state-of-the-art performance that you can enjoy for free! Aside from festive animations, the drones will also display iconic landmarks from the Mile High City — such as Denver Union Station and the Mile High Tree.

PRO Tip: Catch prime viewing for the free drone show at Tivoli Quad, Peaks Lounge, the Terrace at Denver Art Museum’s Lanny & Sharon Martin Building, or the 54thirty Rooftop at Le Méridien Denver Downtown. 

Elitch Holidays

There’s still time this holiday season to catch the magic at Elitch Gardens.
