It’s almost time to preheat the oven for cookies and wake up to gifts under the tree! If you haven’t crossed off all the names on your Christmas shopping list, it’s crunch time! Lucky for you, Denver is hosting several holiday markets where you can snag last minute deals on great gifts.

Activities, Events, Shows, and More in Denver This Weekend

This weekend features all of the exciting sports action that you could ask for, with the Nuggets, Broncos and Avalanche all hosting home games! If sports aren’t your thing, then there’s plenty more to keep you entertained. 

Colorado Avalanche vs. Winnipeg Jets

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? December 19th

Friday’s match is scheduled for 7:00 PM against the Winnipeg Jets. The next Avalanche home game will be Tuesday at 7:00 PM versus the Utah Mammoth, so whether you can catch one or both games, just make sure to cheer loud to help the home team pull out some pre-holiday wins! Based on the past five games, players to watch for the Jets include left wing Connor (#81) and center Vilardi (#13). For the Avalanche, of course all eyes should stay on centers MacKinnon and Necas. 

PRO Tip: Doors open an hour before puck drop. Give yourself plenty of time to park, get through security, grab some concessions and find your seat!

Night Brunch

Where? 715 South Forest Street
When? December 20th

On Saturday, mark your calendar for Night Brunch at Four Mile Historic Park. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, experience this one of a kind event featuring delicious bites, exciting entertainment and plenty of merriment for everyone. General admission includes a welcome burrito, a drink ticket, a Victorian keepsake and holiday decoration craft, immersive holiday house tours, stories by the fire and much more!

Ice-ie Sculptures and Carving Competition

Head on over to The Shops at Northfield this Saturday for Ice-ie Sculptures and a riveting carving competition. From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the plaza will be transformed as six blocks of ice turn into three holiday scenes beginning at noon. Stick around for the live carving competition at 3:00 PM, where artists will go head-to-head as they’re tasked with creating dazzling mini masterpieces. There will be live music, caroling, character meet and greets, and plenty of hot chocolate and s’mores to go around. Arrive early as treats will only be available while supplies last!

PRO Tip: The beautiful ice sculptures will remain on display until they melt. Don’t miss your chance to see this awesome winter spectacle before it disappears, literally! 

Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets

Where? 1000 Chopper Circle 
When? December 20th

Need some live sports action before Christmas? You’re in luck because the Nuggets are facing off against the Houston Rockets this Saturday at Ball Arena. This is a Western Conference showdown that Nuggets fans won’t want to skip. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster, so grab yours now and cheer on the team as they take the court! The game is scheduled for 3:00 PM, so you can even make it home for dinner. The game will be a key regular season matchup for the competitive Western Conference, with both teams aiming for high seeding.

PRO Tip: Doors will open an hour before the scheduled tip-off! Parking lots open earlier, typically three hours before the game. Secure your parking reservation in advance or pay when you arrive at one of the area garages or surface lots. 

Kellerbier Saturday

Where? 2875 Blake Street 
When? December 20th

On the third Saturday of the month, come see what Kellerbier is all about at Bierstadt Lager in Denver! Once a month, beer fans from near and far can get their lager served straight off the tanks by one of the brewers. If you enjoy indulging in the refreshing taste of lager, you’ll really enjoy the opportunity to taste it unfiltered from the tank. This is an in-person event that provides the unique chance for aficionados to sample the next beer to be released in an untapped form. The fun kicks off at 1:00 PM, so be there or be square! Kellerbier Saturday features a different bier every month, which will keep you coming back for more.

PRO Tip: Tickets are free but a bier purchase is required! 

Mistletoe Market

This Sunday, celebrate the season at the Mistletoe Market in Denver’s Dairy Block. From 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Dairy Block will be transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland for a 4-day market. Guests can explore the block and participate in family-friendly activities, shopping and enjoying festive drinks and bites. Whether you’re doing some last minute shopping for apparel, toys, art, snacks, sweets, outdoor gear or more — there’s something for everyone on The Block. There will also be holiday lights and live carolers to keep the Christmas vibes high and help set the mood for this exciting time of year! Vendors at the Mistletoe Market will include B Fresh Gear, Cocktail Caravan, Enso Clay, Mountain Girl Pickles, Stevie Anne Jewelry, Unruly Wit and many more. 

PRO Tip: The market is free and open to the public. This is the final weekend, so make sure to swing by and check things out before they’re gone!

Colorado Christmas Bazaar

Where? 9515 East County Line Road 
When? Through December 21st

The Colorado Christmas Bazaar is the most magical time of the year. Swing by and help spread the holiday cheer with a range of exciting activities and festivities. From letters to Santa for the kids, to holiday music, selfie stations, gourmet food, crafts with Mrs. Claus, and even baby goat elf yoga, there’s literally something for everybody. Join the fun at The Centennial Promenade on Fridays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional excitement at the Colorado Christmas Bazaar include onsite dog and puppy adoptions, cookies and stories with Santa Claus, and a lineup of vendors with handmade gifts perfect for stuffing stockings or wrapping to put under the tree.

PRO Tip: This weekend will be the last Christmas Bazaar until 2026, so take advantage and add it to your calendar! 

Free Community Christmas Meal

Where? 700 14th Street
When? December 21st

The Salvation Army is hosting this year’s Free Community Christmas Meal this Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Colorado Convention Center. This meal is open to anyone in need of a meal or anyone searching for community fellowship this holiday season. Everybody is welcome and there is no cost or registration required to attend. Come as you are and celebrate the season with the community! This holiday tradition is important to many, so help spread the word to neighbors, coworkers, community members and all those who might enjoy warm food and open arms. 

PRO Tip: If you have the ability to volunteer, you can reserve a slot here! Approximately 175 volunteers will be needed to serve food, replace table settings, decorate and assist with set up and tear down.

Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Where? 1701 Bryant Street
When? December 21st

Catch the Denver Broncos in Week 16 of their regular season as they face off against the Jaguars at Empower Field at Mile High this Sunday. The game is presented by Bud Light. Kick off will be at 2:05 PM. Sunday’s game will be significant for both teams, with the Broncos holding a strong record but still vying for playoff positioning. The Jaguars have been riding a hot streak, led by Trevor Lawrence and a potent offense. Fans have the ability to generate a great home atmosphere for these crucial late-season games, so cheer extra loud to help the Broncos ride the excitement all the way to the end zone.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is encouraging visitors to embrace their inner Grinch this holiday season with an evening featuring the holiday classic film. Watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on the giant screen and make sure to come dressed in your best green attire as you settle in for a cozy night of holiday cheer. There will be freshly popped popcorn and a selection of festive beverages, including kid-friendly drinks and adult-approved treats, available for purchase. Friday’s movie night is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Limited tickets are available, so grab yours before they’re gone!

PRO Tip: Museum members can purchase discounted tickets at a rate of $10 for adults, $8 for youth ages 3 to 18 and $8 for seniors ages 65+. Accessible seating is also available.

Little Wings: Plane Spotting

Wings Over the Rockies welcomes little ones of all ages to enjoy the final Plane Spotting event of 2025 this Saturday. From 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, families can enjoy watching the skies as curiosity takes flight. Explore the amazing world of airplanes on the third Saturday of the month for a plane spotting adventure where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the different parts of an airplane and how the spectacular machines function up in the air. Kiddos will love heading to the tarmac to spot real planes in flight as the group watches them take off, land and soar through the skies at the Centennial Airport! Now how cool is that?

PRO Tip: Wings’ members receive 50% off their tickets! Doors will open at 10:20 AM, with the program beginning promptly 15 minutes later.

Make Music Day

Make Music Denver has been thoughtfully designed to showcase local musical talent and inspire others in the community to play music. Make Music Day dates all the way back to 1982 and has since been held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries! Make Music Day will feature a range of performers across a variety of ages, races, levels and styles of music. All are welcome! This year, Make Music Denver is heading to Denver Union Station on Sunday to host a series of exciting free performances inside of the Great Hall. Swing by to enjoy the tunes and maybe inspire the next generation of musical talent in the Mile High City!

PRO Tip: Sunday’s lineup will feature Julio Perez, Raeanna Russel, Biff Gore, and Confluence Music! Each set will run for approximately 45 minutes from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
