Whether you are looking for a great date idea or an amazing way to keep children entertained, pumpkin patches offer a fun day of activities for all ages… and who doesn’t love pumpkin pies? So which are the best pumpkin patches in and around Denver? Our team has put together a list for you of the best pumpkin patches, featuring lots of fun activities and attractions…

Pumpkin Patches near Denver
Pumpkin Festival at Chatfield Farms | Littleton
What days: October 7th – October 9th
What times: 9am – 4pm (last admission), 5pm close
Where: 8500 W Deer Creek Canyon Rd, Littleton, CO 80128
How much: $15 Adults, $13 Seniors (65+), $11 Children (ages 3-15). Free admission for children 2 and younger. Average cost per pumpkin is $8, but varies based on size and can only be purchased using Credit/Debit cards
This 10-acre pumpkin patch is one of the top US pumpkin patches as featured recently in the Home Beautiful Magazine. Your entry will grant you access to the patch, as well as the famous corn maze (and mini-maze) and lots of fun things for kids and families to do, like food trucks, live music, hayrides, photo booths, inflatable bouncers, face painting and so much more!!
PRO Tips:
- We recommend bringing a wagon to help transport your pumpkins.
- There is a free daycare available while you enjoy the festival.
- Maps will not be available this year onsite in an effort to reduce waste. However, you can print your own map here.
- You must purchase tickets online for a specific date and time as tickets will not be available onsite.

Lone Creek Farms | Franktown
What days: September 22nd – October 30th. Every Thursday through Sunday
What times: 10am – 7pm
Where: 3879 N State Hwy 83, Franktown, CO 80116
How much: General Admission (Ages 4 and up) is $25.95. Children 3 and under are free
This family-run farm, which opened in 2018, is known for its enjoyable activities and welcoming staff. Your tickets include access to over 20 attractions, a few examples include a mini-pedal-kart track, a big slide, swings, zip lines, a dragon obstacle course, giant Jenga, and more.
Purchases can be made online or in person at the booth. There are additional attractions that are available for a fee, which include slingshots, axe throwing, giant zipline, bungee jump, and whip ride to name a few. What a fun way to spend quality family time!
PRO Tips:
- The pumpkin patch is also open Wednesday 10/19/22 for Fall Break.
- Thursdays are cheaper ($21.95) and less busy.

Anderson Farms | Erie
What days: September 21st – October 31st. Open every day besides Tuesdays
What times: Hours vary by day and date (calendar can be viewed here). Last wagon is at 5:30pm
Where: 6728 County Road 3-1/4, Erie, Colorado 80516
How much: $15 on weekdays and $23 on weekends per person. Children under 3 are free. Pumpkins range between $2 and $12
Less than an hour drive from Denver, Anderson Farms has a 30 acre pumpkin patch, with more than 70 distinct varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds; all grown on the farm, often with unique and distinctive elements as a result of cross-pollination.
The fall festival has so much to offer, including pedal karts, farm animals, jump areas, a barrel train, sand diggers, pumpkin cannons, and more… all included with your entrance tickets.
Tickets are time slotted into 30 min windows so that the farm is not over crowded. You can purchase your tickets here.
PRO Tips:
- A fun way to enjoy the pumpkin patch is to travel in a wagon drawn by an old Oliver tractor.

Cottonwood Farms | Lafayette

How much: $5 per person, however children under 5 and people over 65 are free
Just over 20 miles from Denver, Cottonwood Farms is an awesome pumpkin patch with fun family activities, including a corn and straw maze. Wagon rides are available during October weekends for $5 per person.
PRO Tips:
- This location has stunning views.
- Prepaid tickets are strongly advised, especially on weekends.

Maize In The City | Thornton

One of Colorado’s most popular rural fall events, is only 15 minutes from downtown Denver and began in 2001.
For families and other people looking for fall attractions, Maize in the City provides numerous daily activities. For example, there is a petting zoo, tub train, pony rides, a 20-acre corn maze, a tiny maze, and many other attractions.

Mazzotti Farms | Hudson
What days: Open on Saturdays and Sundays throughout October

Mile High Farms | Bennett
What days: Open on Saturdays and Sundays throughout October

Where: 11 Cavanaugh Rd., Bennett, CO 80102
How much: $16 for those aged 13 to 59, $10 for those 60 and older and active duty military personnel, $10 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children under 4. Pricing for Pumpkins: 85¢ per pound up to 40 pounds. 60¢ per pound thereafter
Mile High Farms offers a pumpkin patch with a wide range of pumpkin varieties. Additional activities include face painting, a corn maze, baked goodies, Kona Ice and more.

- We love the “Pumpkin Concierges” on this farm. They will help you cut your pumpkins out of the field and carry them to the wagon for you.

MCA Pumpkin Patch | Denver

This Denver pumpkin patch is available as part of the farmer’s market. You can find the Pumpkins separated by sizes and located on the stage on the east side of The Green.
As shoppers, you will receive a coupon for every $5 you spend at the vendors’ booths. Coupons can then be redeemed at the Pumpkin Patch for a free Pumpkin. There will be a variety of Pumpkin sizes ranging from small to large. Pumpkin quantities are very limited and coupons are only valid while supplies last.

3 tickets = 1 medium pumpkin

7th Generations Farm | Louisville
What days: Fridays and Saturdays throughout October

7th Generations Farm is Louisville’s Local Pumpkin Patch and offers a super cute pumpkin patch with attractions such as a hay bale maze, big bale hay mountain to climb and farm animals. Such a great place to take the kiddos for some outdoor fun!

- This farm has fresh produce for purchase.
- Pumpkins are also sold outside of the pumpkin patch experience.

The Patch | Elizabeth

How much: Tickets are sold at $22 per person, $20 for Military and Grandparents, kids 2 and under are free
Just a short country drive from Denver, The Patch farm boasts 35+ acres of family fun. Low ropes course, barnyard ball, pony hops, hay wagon ride, straw mountain, jumping pillow, giant slide, apple cannons, giant bubbler, bucking bronco train, corn cribs, corn hole, roping, tetherball, horse shoes, giant rope swing. For 2022, they are celebrating the sunflower in their maze design.
During the Fall Festival, The Patch offers a unique variety of Pumpkins in their Pumpkin Patch: Cinderella, Jarrahdale, African Boer, One Too Many, Wee Bee Littles, Pies and Jacks.

- Note that your admission will cover you for ALL attractions and activities, except Apple Cannons and Euro Bungy Colorado (weekends only). Also note that pumpkins are extra and prices vary depending on size and variety.
