Time to Paddy 5K/10K & Lucky 13.1

Can’t wait to kick off the St. Patrick’s Day fun? You’re in luck because you can start the festivities at the end of February! The Time to Paddy run is your chance to don your best green attire and enjoy a family-friendly community event complete with awesome race swag such as a t-shirt and a race medal that doubles as a magnetic bottle opener! Race options are endless, starting with a 1 mile, a virtual run, a volunteer & run, a kid’s dash, a 5K, 10K and half marathon. On race day, the kid’s dash will start at 7:55 AM, followed by an 8:00 AM national anthem performance and the official race start time. Results and awards will be available at the registration tent immediately following your finish. There will also be free snacks at the finish line, along with complimentary photos and chip-timing. This is designed to be a family-friendly event that welcomes every pace and fitness level. Run your race, your way and remember to have fun!

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early with live music in Lakewood. Kick off the fun with music by The Elders, dancers from the Reed School of Irish Dancers, performances by the Mile High Highlanders Pipe Band, and an abundance of food and drink available for purchase. Shop the Lucky Clover Market, where you’ll find local vendors offering unique, handmade goods. This is a family-friendly St. Paddy’s celebration hosted by Belmar and Alameda Connects, so bring the kiddos along for the fun. The event will be held from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Arrive early and watch the plaza come alive with plenty of green, cheer and community spirit. This year’s Blarney on Belmar is sponsored by 1stBank and Kaiser Permanente.

Runnin’ of the Green

Runnin’ of the Green in Denver’s Washington Park is a classic Irish jog. Lace up and chase the rainbow at the Lucky 7K or the 2 mile Leprechaun Leap. The races will be followed by an Irish Festival that you won’t want to miss. The event promises to be a day filled with all things Irish fun, as well as live music, awards and cold beer. Don’t forget to wear your best green gear and bring your bagpipes if you’ve got them! Additional event festivities include Irish dancers, refreshments, and a beer garden for participants 21+. Whether you’re running or just checking out the atmosphere, everyone is welcome! On event day, the race will kick off at 10:00 AM and post-event celebrations will last until 12:30 PM.

Denver St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Bar Crawl

Kick off the festive green weekend in style by hitting some of Denver’s best bars. Participants can enjoy St. Paddy’s drink specials while they soak up the festive energy with their crew and hundreds more. This is a must-attend holiday event in Denver! Whether you have Irish roots or you just consider yourself Irish at heart, this bar crawl is for everyone who loves an epic party. Included with the crawl will be 2-3 included drinks or shots, free entry into some of the city’s best bars, a free after party, St. Patrick’s Day beads (while supplies last), food and drink specials, and a professional photographer at select venues!

St. Patrick’s Day 5K

The Highlands Ranch Community Association is presenting the St. Patrick’s Day 5K! Join the festivities at this festive 5K starting on Dorchester Street in the Highlands Ranch Town Center South at 9:00 AM on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. Don your best Irish running attire and round up some good friends and family. Lace up the sneakers and join fellow athletes and casual joggers for a refreshing pint from Living the Dream Brewing. There will also be a complimentary pancake breakfast, along with lively entertainment to keep the day’s vibes high! Registration for the 5K run/walk is priced at $65. All participants will receive a race t-shirt, a St. Patrick’s Day 5K pint glass, a custom race bib and a post-race beer (21+). There will be a discounted rate of $20 for ages 2 to 12. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each gender category.
PRO Tip: Keep your eyes peeled for a kettlebell along the course. The first person to find the kettlebell and return it to the finish line will win $100! Now if that’s not motivation to pick up the pace, we’re not sure what is.
Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Nothing rings in St. Patrick’s Day like the biggest and best parade west of the Mississippi for 64 years running! Kicking off at 9:30 AM, you’ll want to snag a prime viewing position so you can cheer on the parade participants. This year’s parade is presented by Bellco Credit Union. The route will step-off on Wynkoop before turning onto 17th Street and coming back down Blake Street. The 2026 theme is “Stars, Stripes and Shamrocks!” The parade is 100% volunteer run, so sign up today if you want to throw your hat into the ring to help. Whether this is your first St. Patrick’s Day Parade or you’ve been attending for decades, make sure to arrive early to stake out a good spot. Many families like to get situated at the end of the parade on Blake Street from 23rd to 27th Avenues. Refrain from throwing beads, candy or other items at parade floats for everybody’s safety. Dress in layers and bring plenty of water!

Denver Brass Quintet @ Cherokee Ranch & Castle

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the Denver Brass 5 will be joined by Celtic pipers for iconic favorites such as Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave, Highland Cathedral, Londonderry Air, and much more. The evening’s schedule begins at 6:30 PM when doors open to guests. Enjoy bar service before the show and check out the hearty appetizer buffet at 6:45 PM.
