New Year’s Eve Fireworks
What day: Saturday 31st of December
What time: 9pm and midnight
Where: 16th Street Mall
How much: Free
If you love watching fireworks on New Years Eve (with or without kids) then the spectacular fireworks display at the 16th St Mall is the place for you on NYE.
This fireworks show has been running for 20 years. There are two shows planned this year. One at 9pm and a repeat at midnight. DJ’s will arrive early (at 8pm) to play music throughout the night and will sync with the fireworks display.
PRO Tips:
- Each show will last 8 mins.
- The fireworks are launched from two rooftops and can be best seen from viewpoints on 16th St.
New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery
Want to do something a little different this year? How about ushering the new year in with a Murder Mystery dinner? Here are a couple of the best for this NYE.
Game Train USA

The Dinner Detective

A different twist on the typical murder mystery themes, The Dinner Detective is America’s largest interactive comedy (murder mystery) theatre show. Solve the hilarious mystery while feasting on a delicious dinner.
PRO Tips:
- You can buy a special package that will get a member of your party involved in the show as a Prime Suspect without their knowledge.
- Prop guns, loud simulated gunshots, and short lighting blackouts are used as part of the performance.
- Make sure to book in advance and bring the confirmation as well as your photo ID.
